Happened to me once. I was cycling in a city, a girl just opened her Uber's door right in front of me. Before I realized it I went flying to the ground. The girl was just so sorry, she was late to an appointment so rushed without thinking, but she obviously understood how much she messed up and was basically crying. I was the one who had to tell her that it was just a scrape and a bruise and that since nothing bad happened it was ok and she should go on with her day.

I saw it once in LA and I thought the people were getting out to fight and they hugged. It was shocking...but like in a faith restored kinda way.

Agreed, but let's also give credit to the woman for pulling over and apologizing like a mature adult. She was clearly remorseful. Most of these situations escalate because people don't give a crap!

Reminds me of something that happened at work last year. I do deliveries, I was about to turn into my store's parking lot, but there was a delay about a half mile up the road, so it was bumper to bumper just before I could turn. All of a sudden, I get rear-ended. Curiously, I never lost my cool, as I normally have a hair-trigger temper. Turns out it was a stressed-out young mother who took her eyes off the road for an instant as she was trying to deal with her restless toddler. The poor woman was near tears, and the little guy was rattled. I wish I had more people skills, because it completely slipped my mind to ask her if she was okay, though I did assure her that the car I was driving was a company car and did not belong to me.

The amazing part is he did not land it right then. He throttled up and took off and came back around and landed a couple minutes later with the gear down. He should not have pulled up the first time because most of the time this ends up in a fatal crash because the props are bent.
