In my Sims 3 game, I made Juno Birch as a townie alien with the insane & kleptomania traits. So you can imagine my reaction when Juno randomly appeared on my family lot one night on a full moon, running around like a loon in her swimwear, stealing my car whilst laughing at my house catching fire, with me & most of my loved ones burning to death... Iconic.
I honestly loved how Juno responded. People make fun of things they don’t understand. They weren’t being hateful, just funny. It’s a sim lol. And Juno found it hilariously bad. Preach
I gotta say, that I've mostly seen her from shoulders up, so I have no mental image of her bodytype ^^' I assume most of the people who got it wrong are in the same situation.
For real, very confusing, I don't think anyone who made a sim has actually seen her full body shots on insta, even the Sims without masculine frames were all too skinny. I don't wanna call her old but the retro styling and curvaceous figure definitely give her something MILFY
@@Unholydiamonds I think they were trying to say, "when I* created the sim" I was unsure at first, but I think they were just frantic when they posted the comment and didn't spell check it. Or maybe their English isn't the best.
the guy that made juno as a male sim apologized to her on twitter saying he wasn't aware that she was trans since he had only seen a couple videos at the time
I'm assuming the other people who made her as male only watched a few videos as well as assumed she was a cis male drag queen instead of a trans woman, since the bios all seemed nice.
When I first saw Juno's interview on Vouge, I thought she was a woman. And I was right, she is. Anyone thinking anything different makes no scenes at all.
Just to inject a little nuance down here, all of the “transphobic” sims had extremely positive bios and descriptions. It’s more likely that they don’t know that Juno’s a woman who does drag. Give them the benefit of the doubt because they clearly adore our alien queen. “Transphobic” shouldn’t be thrown around lightly. For the uninitiated, the gender gray area between cis or trans women in drag and cis and trans men in drag is hard to navigate. They could have easily thought Juno is man in drag, the most common kind of drag queen, and did not want to disrespect their boy side, i.e. the 7-foot glamazon build and the not-so-subtle peen options in the sim details. Hanlon’s razor: do not attribute malice to what can be easily explained by ignorance.
Thank you for the much needed nuance, one of the creators of the sims is in the comments apologizing to the mobs and its kinda sad tbh, people in the comments are more upset than Juno herself 😅
Thaaaank you for this. These are genuine fans who made a mistake, the internet loves to demonize people for making mistakes. And I'm sure Juno doesn't want a comment section full of people throwing around the word "transphobia" so lightly.
Mm but some that were made are not even close to juno birch like making her super masculine when in drag context is just weird to me like I do not wtach juno that much and I knew her body and face doesn't look like that. Like Idk bad vibes. Coming from a trans persons view point I got second hand dysphoria from some of them like 😭
Thank you for that Honestly I didn't even know Juno was trans until reading this, especially since I still don't really know much about drag aside from it being super pretty and cool to see. Course that doesn't change anything for me, it's cool to know though. But I very much understand trying to make a drag queen in something and being unsure of what aspects to lean to for them. As an occasional ignorant dumbass myself, thank you for giving some of these simmers the benefit of the doubt. As for the simmers themselves I do hope they learn from this and continue to grow as people.
Being a trans woman myself, I also deeply respect how you handled those male interpretations. I would’ve been riddled with dysphoria and probably never would’ve posted the video 😂. You are just the embodiment of femininity and alien housewife realness anyway so it wouldn’t matter 💖💖. The ones with you, Philly Willy, and the baby were adorable though.

I love how you handled this as someone who had no clue myself about your gender identity or pronouns. You corrected people without making them feel small for not knowing or maybe for not exploring your online presence outside of the limited view of this channel like myself. I tend to not make real people or their personas though for this reason. But thank you for being an amazing alien (human being) and handling what was probably triggering for you with grace and tact.

Dear Juno, I found out recently that you're you're having a show in Perth on the very day I'm due to expel my very gorgeous baby out my body and this is not stunning at all! I'm getting the tickets anyway, so if the baby decides to come out during the show I'm calling ger Juno. Love you stunning queen ❤
On the one hand, I definitely thought that all drag was done by men portraying women at one point because I was young and uneducated, so I can understand how some people might get confused. On the other, I would be so uncomfortable being misgendered and misrepresented like that! I hope there were lots more Junos that lifted her spirits and reminded her of how we really see here -- funny, creative, and STUNNING. 🌟❤
I'm fighting the urge to reinstall the sims 4 to make a juno sim with the utmost attention to detail. I'd have her Instagram open getting the facial structure RIGHT but no.....I shant....my disk space is dedicated to sims 2 and 3 mods thank you very much
I think a lot of people don’t follow the Instagram so they don’t really even know what Juno looks like. And they assume just cuz she does drag that she’s a dude 😩😭 it’s all out of love ms Burch 💖
This video is incredible and had me laughing my ass off (maybe that's what happened to that last poor sim), but the DISRESPECT for our queen Juno with some of these!? NOT happening!
@@TheDifferentBeing I don't think you know how hard it is to live your life while your identity is constantly questioned and you are attacked for just existing. Yes, you absolutely should not get mad and attack people because you never know if someone did something to hurt you intentionally, but she IS strong for getting to a point where this does not bother her too much. She absolutely is.
I love how surprised Juno is about people making her a kleptomaniac, like she didn't offhandedly mention in a video that she loves to steal in the Sims 4
Juno they gave you the "goofball" trait because you are one of the funniest youtubers around. You make us laugh so much i can see why people give you a trait related to comedy.
I think the masculine ones are people who didn't know Juno is trans and are probably kids or just ppl who assumed since she's a drag queen that she's a man. So I don't think it's really nice to say they're transphobic without actually knowing if this was intentional or not. Besides she's a confident queen who could care less about transphobes! Also plz don't comment that I'm defending transphobes, because I'm not. I hate transphobia and still go through it myself actually (cuz im nonbinary and ppl like to misgender me a lot).
This is the kind of vibe I was getting as well. I didn’t see it as malicious. I make a lot of celebrity sims and a lot of times my interpretation is how I perceive them in pictures and videos, which may be totally different from someone making the same celebrity sim. I live Juno tho so in now way does my thoughts on this invalidates his perception of how she views these remakes.

That was a really entertaining video! Towards the end I have noticed the umm... wrong birches in the gallery and was thinking “hope she won’t see these...” But you handled it so maturely and well that I had a blast! Hope you go back to play the sims 2 soon...

the parts where Juno gets misgendered made me genuinely tear up that is so messed up and mean. SHE is a STUNNING queen and does not deserve transphobic shit like this and no one else does either! It boggles my mind how some people can be so silly and pathetic about someone's gender identity.
You do realize there are probably lots of people who just see Juno as a drag queen and don't even know she's trans? It's hard to fault them for assuming she's like every other drag queen they've seen, I don't think it was malicious!
