The narrator is correct. This is 'Nii man.' In the 50s there was a need to relocate the Muslim community from Accra central and the mantse gave this land for the resettlement. Hence, 'Nii man' . Pronouncing 'Nii man' was a mouthful and it eventually shortened to 'Nima'.
Yes Nima is safe. In the 80s and 90s I used to change money ($) in Nima. The places looked scary but safe. They will sit me down in a small room serve me drink take my dollars, go out and come back in a few minutes with my cedis equivalent. Then escort me to the roadside and fine a safe taxi for me. I mean a safe taxi, someone they know. Wow Nima
Great work... nima been there few times and won’t lie it’s one of the best places in Ghana 🇬🇭 something always makes me wanna go there again I miss nima
People give these guys bad name, but their very hard working, and very loyal, that's why Kennedy Agyapong believes in them and helps them all the time.
Darn the foods set my brain turning in frenzy. My mouth started watering when I saw the tuo zafi. Walahi home sweet paa. I love tuo zafi more than fufu.
THE STRONGEST AND THE HARD CORE HUSTLERS OF GHANA ARE FROM NIMA . ... BEN ATKINSON ... .SPECIAL GREETINGS FROM VIENNA / AUSTRIA ... . PEACE LOVE AND RESPECT .
Nima is named by the Ga elder, who was on the land before the settled came, you all should not rewrite the history of Nima, let's give respect to the land owners, and God blessed them
How is history being rewritten than telling the story and acknowledging the people who lives there ? I don’t think you even spent the time to watch the whole documentary.
This area called Nima really needs a structural clean up,,in fact some areas in Nima from my observation is the untidiesr enviiron in Ghana with discipline the Sanitarium problem can be solved. Please help Henry Q to succeed.
Congratulations Abdul!! Such passion deserves praise 👏🏾👏🏾 I'm touched & just love your 5 things. Can't wait to see your own you tube channel, giving us daily insights into Nima life. Such as the growth & juxtapositions of the various faiths, the educational system, market & family life, blue & white jobs, weddings, etc, etc. Haaaaa!! These should set you thinking about your next business venture. Thanks again to you both
This was very informative. Watched till the end. A lot of misconceptions cleared. I think more of these tours would help the Ghanaian communities especially the songs. Good job 👍🏾
You only see the négatif part of thé area there are wonderful and good things happening in nimaits just like any part of à City world wide come and see newyork
@@peacemaker1mrsulley313 please insulting cannot make peace. The way a person replies a degrading comment reveals a lot of about both contributors. Mr Sulley you are now Peace Maker 2. 😁
@@jossmaan2839 oh really? I didn't know that. I was used to it when I was in Ghana and then I traveled and returned for holidays and all of a sudden I realized ,"wow, Ghana is a noisy place and much of the noise is from drivers"
@@jossmaan2839 does it mean we cannot be better in noise control than those countries you mentioned. Why can't Black people raise their standards to equal first World Nations ? Your comment discourage Progress and Change. But there again there's always a Pessimists who will always say the cup is half empty. Opinions differ so no disrespect to negative energy.
Every Zongo are the only places in Ghana where the foreigners out number the native Ghanaians. I hope the word Zongo, which is of Moshie origin, if it is in the Dictionary has got that defination down. I lived in 441 in 1971 and 72 just out of Secondary, with a brother due to the cheap rents there, then the lowest in Accra. How can you talk of Nima without showing us the Huge filthy drains choking with trash. Really?
He couldn't show the other bits because by nature Ghanaians are not Honest and Real. " He who hides his wounds denies himself of Care " Peace to all Humanity !!
@@peterachina3887 excuse me, spk for yourself, right! Not all Ghanaians are dishonest. I also believe this video has indeed shown all about the struggles these ppl face daily. The overcrowding, the beggars, the alley ways, etc are all enough evidence without showing choked drains. You can always visit for a cinematic view, of course. C'mmon give your own ppl some credit. Such cynicism gets you nowhere.
@@andromedab902 He is not even Ghanaian you can tell from his name. Nima probably looks like tge cleanest place in his country that's why he is pissed.
No the narrator contradicted himself by saying that the real name of Nima is Nii man which is wrong. Nima is a Hausa language meaning BLESSING. was the right name give by Mallam Futa and his muslim elders.
You are in an area that has sanitary issues just like certain areas in Ghana the goverment is trying very hard to educate the people hope the country Will like malaysia or Singapour in the future
