I saw it a mile away", then I can't take you seriously man. Either way... to actually answer you. It does get better. That's the point of any story. Frodo in the Shire isn't the same exciting story as Frodo and Sam once they've reached mount Doom. But your curiosity and wonder for the mysteries of the world is what pushes you to watch 20 Marvel movies and 5 seasons of Breaking Bad. If you think your friends, who told you specifically episode 326 is where it reaches "masterpiece criteria", didn't mean it and you dismiss the story at 65 episodes... then you never left the Shire man. Frodo and Sam saved Middle Earth and hobbits like you were none the wiser.

Should probably choose a different anime if you're trying to get people into anime. Edit: To elaborate. It's not solely because I have issues with how the series progressed, but because if you're trying to get people who don't appreciate anime into it you need to choose something that's similar to what they'd watch normally. Bleach is too...basic (?) for most older people to really go "Wow, this is amazing". Unless your friends are younger.

just watch season 1 and then read manga....or you can finish the anime after season 1 because that's basically a good enough ending if you think about it like that. But even after 1 season it's still one of the best anime ever made if you just watch 1 season

Just because the other season are bad it's not a reason to not watch season 1 which is literally a masterpiece. Just don't watch the other seasons pretty simple. @Chan Smith If you get past episode 130 (Alabasta Arc) and dont like the show, then its probably not for you. By that point if you're not invested you probably never will be. Most shows have the 3 episode rule, but One piece has the 130 episode rule, takes a while to get into it and see if you like it or not. But for those who do like it past ep 130, its a show they usually really like.

I liked one piece but it dragged on to long and i didnt have enough time.

Same lol, I dodged One Piece for years since the number of episodes felt daunting until I started watching 2 years ago and ever since then, even the very starting arcs already caught my attention.. It just made me feel excited every time they would start talking about the Grand Line while they were still sailing through the East Blue, then there were the mysteries and clues surrounding around the legend of Gol D. Roger and the foreshadowing stuffs that would play a part in the future arcs, I think this is one of those instances where slow but in-depth story telling works in shows like One Piece..
