Pep Guardiola’s Strange Rules Concerning Transfers
Pep Guardiola has long been considered one of the greatest managers of all time and it's clear to see why given his many successes in different leagues around the world.
One thing he is known for is improving and developing talent to levels no one would ever think they could get to and he has done this everywhere he has been. He and his coaches raise the standards of everyone in his team whether you're a protégé such as Messi or a diamond in the rough like John Stones. Due to this, his teams always have a presence in the transfer market to get him his next great star.
But did you know Guardiola actually has some pretty unorthodox rules in the transfer market that he ensures his teams uphold?

When pep arrived dinho was drinking more and not playing well especially in 2007-08 season and was even spoiling this teammate deco. Pep didn't like this sold both dinho and deco. This main intiation was to sell them is that they both can spoil a young Leo messi. And greenish he drinks once a while and pep doesn't care it

Although people say Pep, Ancelotti, and Zidane aren't the goat managers because they have unlimited cash, just the way they revolutionised and changed the style of the game, Pep especially, puts them in my book for the greatest managers of all time.
@bimapriambada1098
@bimapriambada1098 5 месяцев назад
Don't put Carletto as the same as Zidane, and Pep for that category. He proved himself in Parma just like Conte at Siena although his clubs always dont have so much problem financially like Milan, Madrid, Chelsea, and Bayern but his transfer signing is not often mind-blowing unlike Pep or Conte. This is coming from Madrid fan who hated him first when he was at Milan since they're more successful at UCL than Madrid.
@SemmeralddynamicsBaammy
@SemmeralddynamicsBaammy 5 месяцев назад
@bimapriambada1098 Sorry, but your point makes no sense. Yes, both Ancelotti and Conte proved themselves at smaller clubs, but you have to admit at the time they were there, the Brazilian league and co. was not nearly as strong as it was before. Also, you being a Madrid fan does not add any validity or strength to your statement. And for mind blowing signings, to mention a few that Carlo made, Jude, Gareth Bale, Tchouameni, and James Rodriguez.
@bimapriambada1098
@bimapriambada1098 5 месяцев назад
@@SemmeralddynamicsBaammy You don't understand Madrid transfer policy by giving Jude, Aurelie, Camavinga, and James. Those players were scouted long before Carlo was there and a coach sometimes doesn't really have so much power about signing players in Madrid. For example is James, was he really needed by Madrid? not really but they kept singing him since he was young prospect and made his name in WC. Look at when he was at Milan, He just signed a strange signing like Viskash Doorasho, Brochi, Jankulovski, or Storari even though they already had Ambrosini, Cafu, Serginho, Abbiati, and etc as their back up.
@SemmeralddynamicsBaammy
@SemmeralddynamicsBaammy 5 месяцев назад
@@bimapriambada1098 Sometimes is a key word. Were you there when Madrid was scouting? Were you there when they were signed. And of all the players you mentioned, did any of them turn out to be world class?

It also protects him from accusations of fraud. He's had a lot of influence over scouting and the youth academies at Bayern an Barcelona so if he'd pay a top price for talent coming out of there he'd immediately be under a microscope.
@mcburnski
@mcburnski 4 месяца назад
That doesn't make any sense. Why would he ge accused of fraud for buying a player?
@bramharms72
@bramharms72 4 месяца назад
@@mcburnski Good question, I couldn't think of any specific scenario for hard, proven fraud. But something similar just happened to Sven Mislintat at Ajax (although there were other factors in play there too). I was thinking more of suspicions of fraud when an expensive player that the manager has a history with doesn't perform or gets injured. This is just a what-if, but think about if Pep brought in Messi for a huge sum and Messi went down at the first tackle and couldn't play for a few months with some injury that may have been simmering for a while. Wouldn't Pep be accused of trying to give his friend a last big payday?
@bramharms72

Pep is great, but for me him stealing Kloop's ex players is quite unique as Kloop makes those unknown boys into superstar and Pep helps them become better or breaks them. Both are great Pep's a title winner and Kloop is also a title winner but also a talent nurturer.

@@LeominsterFC the players might not have gone to another club, but he did help the Chelsea reject Mo Salah became and premier league legend. He also took Trent Alexander Arnold out of the youth academy to the main team in the 2016/17 seasons and he has came quite handy at times for Liverpool

I think this is the answer why Mourinho fell off in recent times and Guardiola is still one of the most competitive managers in the world. Mourinho is probably the better of the two in expertise, but he lacked Pep's adaptable mindset. While Mourinho tend to be a guy that thinks (or shinks!) 'i have figured it all out', Pep probably loathes the thought that he already achieved perfection, because it meant that he couldn't improve or overthink anymore. This is also why i think Klopp is still below him in achievements. Klopp lacked that constant adaptability and obsessive mindset and preferred to make connections with his players. I think it's reasonable to assume that he kept playing Henderson and bloody Milner last season because partly out of trust rather than sporting decision. As you can see, Pep will snub Messi if he needs to. Remember, in a quick and extremely competitive business model like football, those who adapt quickly will be the ones who survive. I think only him, Sir Alex, and possibly Ancelotti that managed to do that consistently for a long time.

Red cards not given, penalties not awarded, Ronaldo scoring while being off-side. C'mon, those semifinals were fixed, everybody with a thinking brain and a pair of eyes knows it.
