My brother passed away last year and introduced me to this song. I'll always remember the beauty in him and in the world every time I listen to this song.
I donno what happened during late 2000s in SA but this and some others from same era allready became classics for me which I cannot find same deepness and quality in todays electronic music of house.
Quintessential deep house. At the really good parties, they would throw on something like this at about 2am; when the groove is at it's pinnacle. Usually, by that time, i'm completely in the moment. When that deep shit hits my ears, touches my soul and grabs me by the throat, I would always start to cry; that's when I know I'm having a good time. Fuckin' beautiful
I can relate so much. I could just be in the flow of the music dancing smiling with my eyes closed. It was as if i was making love to the music. Best fucking times! Thumbs up for me for having such a brilliant taste in music. x
1:50 All the pressure that has been build up to this point with the bass getting deeper and deeper, that part is reducing the pressure finally and lifting some air up into it. That "pfft, pfft, pfft" is the air. This is how i feel the music. Its just some air getting released to balance the pressure
my dad showed me this song over the summer this year, but he passed away on december 16th. the amount of smokes we've had to this song, and fun night memories i have will stick with me for my entire life. this song just sounds like a friday night, driving around in the clouds, i love it and i love you so much dad.
I'm a dad and you made me think of my lovely lad, only 18 but currently 11k miles away in NZ. This might be a bit deep yet but he likes some of the stuff I listen to and I'll get him into this one day. Cheers buddy
I own this on vinyl and had it the same year it was released. The first time I heard this I was stunned at the simplicity, beautifulness and trance-like nature of this song. I fell in love and named it probably the best deep house track I ever heard. It's now 2022 and I still feel the same way. It doesn't matter what type of day I had, this song can always take me away to another place. Such a stunning, stunning work of art. Thank you Pepe...
I was playing this track on the anniversary of my friend's death. I got stupid High and I could feel his presence so I danced. And felt that my friend was dancing with me.
@Andy Hamlin I tried to recreate the conditions several times to conjur my friend back but it only either works on the anniversary of his death or just that one time.
my personal experience with this track involves listening to it at the end of every of night when i got drunk during my senior year of highschool, and always making everything so better in a period where I knew nothing would ever be the same in a few months time. I always come back to this song with melancholy for those times and happiness that I got through them. Thank you, Pepe!
Bro i do it similar. When you come home from a party or a night together with friends, you turn on this tune, return into your cozy home reality and shut off the day. Perfect way to let it all settle and enjoy the memories the next day
I was walking through Hockeytown to Cobo Hall, and I heard a soft constant beat in the air. As I got closer to the festival, the sound formed into Pepe Bradock's "Deep Burnt." That's when the reality kicked in. As I was going through the tunnel to Hart Plaza someone writing about the festival walked up to me and asked, "How did I feel about it?" While trying to hold back the tears, I said to him, "Listen! Can you hear it? This is one of my favorite records and I heard it a mile away! In my own city! It's one of the greatest moments in my life!" - DJ mike clark at DEMF 2000
Music & the memories there of can do that to us, our love of House Is Real!!! I've had a few tearful moments here on RU-vid coincidentally running across songs I've been looking for yrs. but didn't know the names and others I had just forgotten about, it's a Great emotional experience 🤜🏾💥🤛🏻
Well, I’m from Brazil and I discovered this sound last year and so far this melody hasn’t come out of my head, I can’t explain it, this is beyond music, it’s the junction of all sensations and senses. I went through a very difficult year, I didn’t go through the college I dreamed of the most, I got lost, while all my friends entered their colleges, studying what they liked. It was a very difficult and sad period, but today I received the news that I spent in the two best colleges for economics in Latin America, FGV and insper, I am now listening to this song and the feeling is completely out of the understandable, of relief, of happiness for all the effort not having been in vain and that now I will be able to study what I like This song accompanied me throughout this process, reminding me of each part and it is present in the most important for me, which is my approval. There is a comment here that exemplifies exactly what this song is, “this song sounds like the sunrise”. Thank you Pepe bradock for sculpting this work, I hope to meet you one day.
You are in a different level when you listen to this track away from commercialism in a warehouse underground party at 5 am in the morning in downtown. Can't explain the amazing spiritual feeling…
So we had just moved west to Washington state. I started looking on the NW Techno board to see if anyone was having any parties with quality DJs in the Tacoma and Seattle. It was mostly filled with local DJ's with mediocre taste stroking egos and kissing asses so they could get in to open for Stinky Pete on Wed night. Then I saw a loft party where they were bringing Sammy Dee of Perlon so I drove up top Seattle to check it out. When I walked in one of the guys who threw the party was playing this track. After he finished I followed him outside to a smoke. I introduced myself to him and said "You don't know this but we are going to be really good friends" That was like 15 years ago and we are still very good friends.
I have not heard this song since college forever ago in Atlanta. A part of my brain woke up and I relived the night of the party I heard it at and the smell of the later in the car ride home. Incredible tune, thank you for this. The algorithm is getting eerily good…
I am learning how to drive and I have a bit of driver anxiety but I was driving to this around 4 AM to practice and it really helped me tune that anxiety out and just groove.
That was my very first time listening to this music up at my center called second home up in East Orange, New Jersey. I like this music because it relaxes your mind and if you are in your car driving on the road? This is the kind of music listen to as well. None of the radio stations never played Pepe Bradock deep burnt!!! This is really cool music to listen to!!!
I live 500meters away from my workplace, it takes me 2 minutes to get there it takes me ~3 days to go through this song when it shows up in my playlist and I love very second.
"LARRY HEARD - CAN YOU FEEL IT" **FIND THIS!! A 1998 DEEP HOUSE CLASSIC!!** here's some others, "Pepe Bradock - Life" this is so sweetly deep... "Rupeski - Dreaming" is similar & properly deep (it's a remix but don't remember by who)... "Zero 7 - Distractions (Block 16 Remix)" has got vocal deepness... "Daft Punk - Voyager" i know, daft, but just listen, it's deep, imho... "Probspot vs Alexi Delano - You & Me" is upbeat but properly deep, nice bass... "4 Hero - 9x9" a deep jazzy mind-meld???... "Physics - 7 am Sessions" this'll take you deep down under if you let it... "Fluid X - Change" properly deep... "Deep Dish - Mohammad is Jesus (In Dub)" i know, forget the title, DEEP... "Matthew Herbert - It's Only" not truly similar but has 4x4 & deeply artistic... "Photek - Solaris" always loved this kinda deep aesthetic... "Kings of Tomorrow - Finally" has a vocal & still deep, & is a CLASSIC because of that... "Kerri Chandler - Bar a Thym" properly deep... "Mike Dunn - Deep Lat'n Soul Thoughts" properly deep & a classic... "FLOATING POINTS - MYRTLE AVENUE" **FIND THIS!! CLASSIC**
Une merveille de composition de l’art musical céleste🎶 ,léger sans encombrement, saturé de mauvais, ici tout est musique à perdre raisons du vivant 🎉un chouette morceaux 👍,pour les créateurs 🎼
***** What you miss the shitty boy/girl bands, the Eurotrash dance music (2 Unlimited anyone)? It's easy to get nostalgic when we hear the very few good things that came out of the 90's, but don't be fooled; the 90's generally sucked balls!!
If anything, this is later deep house music. Old school would be Detroit/Chicago house from the 80s and early 90s. As in, "can you feel it" by Mr fingers. The cool thing is that there are still tons of great artists like Moodymann, Kerry Chandler, Theo Parrish, Tony Lionni, Fred P, etc
Literally never get upset at haters, but I see the 970 people who downvote this and I just cannot understand. This is by far without a doubt my favorite track of all time. When I went to vinyl, this was the first record I bought because I knew I would want it for the rest of my life.
This song makes me think of the good humanity can truly do.. that and the fact that cellphones are now becoming more and more water proof... pretty soon we'll be able to push people into pools again.
this is taking me exactly where I want to go, and at a tempo which is easily sustainable, without any effort ....I'm not playing this track, instead it's playing me, shit, is just straight flawless for nine minutes n' fourteen seconds, for nine minutes n' fourteen seconds it's just connection. Big up the creator, Pepe Bradock,, this track is pure inspiration, I love this, you bringing people to life with this one...
not French House.. it's Real Deep House and one of the (tracks) pioneers of the genre.. for those who sometimes are in doubt what Deep House is, this is your reference..
It never gets old. I just gets better. Sending this to all my friends to find there way back home. Bring it 2015. The Ravens Beat the Steelers and there no place left to go now but up. Derrick Booze Aids Action Baltimore

+matt hansen +Graeham Guerin I know the tacky commerical kind of shite with the clickbait thumbnails you're talking about but thankfully the Google Overlords have been watching me closely enough to know that won't work on me, so I have a sidebar full of vinyl centre labels & quality artists*. I even found this vid of an old track I instantly recognised on playback off the back of a YT suggestion from an entirely unrelated YT vid; my mate's stand-up comedy debut that has a title which meant all the other suggestions were of teeny vloggers yapping about their first time (ie. sex not comedy). Pepe Bradock's tune was the only non-vlogger choice and I needed to hear a tune (plus I recognised his name but couldn't place the track title), so that was where I clicked, naturally intrigued. *In case you two or anyone else fancies some more quality house/deep house/underground/cool tunes, here's that sidebar in full. I haven't played any of these uploads(yet), but there's plenty of big names in there that you know you can trust:- Up next Fresh & Low - New Life by exiledlarky 1,173,802 views 7:13 50+ VIDEOS Mix - Pepe Bradock - Deep Burnt by RU-vid St Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Masters at Work Dub) by skylineag4u2nv 1,091,159 views 7:26 ST Germain - St Germain (2015 ALBUM) by Leelo Dallas Recommended for you 51:26 Herbert - I Hadn't Known (I Only Heard) by timelessm24 794,791 views 7:19 Losoul - Open Door by tthrober 1,202,338 views 11:32 Andrés - New For U by ludifisk 846,822 views 5:46 Bonobo - Nicolas Jaar - Chet Faker 1:51 hour Set [by tipotheus] by tipotheus 6,389,391 views 1:50:59 Leon Vynehall - It's Just (House of Dupree) by CMYK 839,115 views 8:51 Moodymann - Sloppy Cosmic by IndiciousSoul 172,264 views 11:49 Henrik Schwarz - Chicago by exiledlarky 255,211 views 10:09 Soul Capsule - Lady Science (NYC Sunrise) by costa207 730,614 views 9:59 Theo Parrish - Summertime Is Here by TheJamesWhitely 370,430 views 12:25 Floating Points - ARP3 by hurfyd 705,129 views 9:17 Moodymann - The Day We Lost The Soul / Tribute! First time I heard this song I was laying with my girlfriend as her beautiful petite hands pick dandruff out of my locks. As I lay in her lap I first hear a pulsating and deep rhythm start to bounce around in my ear drums followed by the luscious cords that sweep me off my feet and immediately take me into a sort of high/trance we’re everything is forgotten as I get taken over by the Rythem and delicacy that this track brings. Thank you pepe
10views - it may not by as high as the numbers that Ed Shereen and Drake pull... but best believe, out of the almost 8 billion citizens of the planet, these are the cream of the crop. More of this Pepe Bradock.
Sunday 3:37am GMT.. these are the times to bang out some real get down to business classics! only discovered Pepe earlier this week, brought here by Valentines Groove another banger! Pepe your a badboy producer!!!!
