I'm calling it, season 5 will end with old man Finbar telling his kids/grandkids about his adventures on the Peraspera. (probably as a mid- or end credit scene) but hyyypeeeeeeeeeeee for season 5!!

It’d be really funny if he’s telling this story with the framing that it’s been decades since and he’s talking to his children/grandchildren, but then the crew of the Per Aspera just walk in and it’s revealed that it’s been a few months and Finbar and Elyse have just been in the Feywild for that time.

Damn this was a good introductory epsiode for season 5. Spoilers below Vaas' curse, meeting with the Gith leader, Vass's warlock level, getting sweet magic items, the fate of Casimer, and the direction for the rest of the season all in one episode! Austin managed to pack alot of story into one session!

Wow, making the traditional sacrifice of Natural 1s to the dice gods is generally pretty reliable, so I expect to see WAY more Nat 20s for the rest of the season!

Can we get like… an episode count on the number of episodes Kyana could use Stunning Strike but Red forgot? Because I’m starting to wonder if this is an in character decision or not.

I believe it uses ki points and enemies can make the saving throw, which they often were as I recall. I think it's a player choice to conserve ki points.

@@mirandatilley2486 Yeah but there are points where they’re fighting an enemy without legendary resistances and stunning them is… really really useful. Like the Endelion fight. Or the Dexter fight. Or the wedding fight. Or this fight. And every time Red has ever been reminded about stunning strike this series she’s like “OH YEAH”… not shaming but I think she legit keeps forgetting.

True, but I'm not going to judge since I don't know what enemies do and don't have legendary resistance and I forgot I can deal bonus cold damage during the last combat of my home game so I've done stuff like that too.

I...almost don't wanna. You know how you get to the last act of a great game, and you're SO immersed... you don't want it to end? I will be comparing SocMed TTRPGs to this for as long as I live. Is the intro going to change for the finale? "...in the Astral Sea -- and this is the end of just one of those stories. The Per Aspera and her crew will go down in history, legends under the gaze of eternity, after Rolling with Difficulty." Aw now I'm sad.
