I love that what the crew most frequently gets stuck on is how to solve a problem that they have multiple solutions for but they just can't choose one. This most often occurs when a liquid is in their way.
Honestly they should have already changed that part after they successfully infiltrated the Githyanki capital and freed prisoners from people know not to take prisoners.
2:14:22 The Leidenfrost effect is the thing that makes it so you don't freeze off your hand if you pour liquid nitrogen on it because the hand is much hotter than the nitrogen. Basically, the heat difference is so high that the nitrogen evaporates before it touches the hand, creating a layer of gaseous nitrogen that the rest of the liquid nitrogen floats on. Because of that, no liquid nitrogen ever touches the hand, so you're fine.
The really curious bit with Dani's modification is that it's...troll essence, which doesn't normally play well with fire and she's well Dani. She's not constantly taking fire damage of course but still it's an interesting interaction going on there.
7:34 "I started wanting to desecrate corpses and eat people." Damn it, I wish there was a transcript I could hit Ctrl-F to go through, because I am pretty sure there was a party where some form of sapient being that was on the menu.
season 2 episode 2 "all dressed up and spore-where to go" the episode where Finbar helps Elise cook at a party at Hiras', there is a dish with flumph in it on the menu and Kyana samples it at about 1 hour and 5 minutes in.
@@rubegoldbergguy9909 glass is a good insulator at low temperatures but becomes insanely conductive at high temperatures. An average bolt of lightning is about 300 million volts at 30000 Amp, so...I think the temperature is gonna be pretty high. But realistically, only the temperature and the speed of the energy transfer matter for breaking the glass. Yes, a standard lightning bolt will absolutely break glas.
Real talk, Kyanna is flying around, wearing magical astral armor, swinging a magical greatsword. All I can imagine her as is a Knight Radiant at this point, and the fact that Red hasn't read The Way of Kings yet KILLS ME!!
A hunt domain last session, and now the Vivisector is apparently going all Flesh Avatar this session, with the big minions it had to help this time. Wild.
gonna be real ... spoilering for the unwatched whom see this comment ... the gang deciding to use the villains tech to get mutant enhancements for the final battle was not on my bingo board for this season
1:16:37 Dani ignores all class race spell and level requirements as a sufficiently leveled artificer, so she should be able to use the canon without any problems.
Just convinced my trans woman friend to name herself Kiana and to listen to season 1 to go to sleep. Will be trying to get her to listen to the whole series.
But Austin already made the call that you can cast through glass, when he let Vhas get teleported to the nautiloid's helm in the plane of water. Oh well, none of them remembered it
I feel like that’s slightly different. Both the caster and the target of the spell were on the outside, the it was just the range of the teleportation that extended past the inside, and teleporting past what essentially is a wall is seemingly a common thing, especially since the destination could be seen.
It IS kinda fucked up that they won’t even loosen Theradok's chains. To say nothing of having imprisoned him for a crime he had yet to commit or even consider.
