what is a good cheap perch rod for for medium casting weight ?

Any decent light or ultralight rod, @@bravefartt A; a good casting weight range is anywhere from 1g - 3g/4g on the lower end, to 10g - 12g on the high end; even up to 14g casting weight is fine for big perch; and, if it has a sensitive tip, can even be fun for smaller perch... For reels, I would recommend anything from a 1500 to a 2500, depending on the brand. I have used a couple of DAM QUICK 2 2000 series reels, and they are great. I think RD vs FD is a personal preference thing; as in do you prefer a more compact reel, or easier access to the drag...?

By coincidence we fished the same waters and the same spot as Team Nays in prefishing and met them a day before the competition and I have to say, they were so nice and even asked politely if they could join us on the spot. Always remember, be kind and respect eath other. Go Nays!

All teams doing a good job. But I must say Tobbe & Dustin just kills it everytime no matter what they fish for. Sad about the big fish lost, but they're on the right place for big fish so I expect more to come in next episode.

Im Australian and love the perch pro 50cm plus specimens of them are rare here love seeing them caught . My pb is 46cm getting close to the 50cm one day it will happen.Ive got my 124cm barramundi all i need is a 100cm plus murray cod and a 50cm plus perch and my life is complete lol.
