My first morning on my visit to NOLA in September of 2014 saw me on the corner of Royal & St Peter's and made to feel so welcome when I asked to sit in with the real deal. The, unknown to me at that point, legend that is Doreen Ketchens and friends. In a very English a way I asked;
"excuse me, I see you haven't got a trumpet player, would you mind if I sat in with you and played?"
"SURE!! What d'ya wanna play?!".....
