On this morning, the surf was going to be 7'+. Way to rough to go fish the gulf. I decided to try out fishing Perdido Pass to see what I could come across.

I've always loved that spot. Never thought to fish it with set rigs, usually casting plugs and plastics. I'm a follower of Salty and Tony. You and Salty are doing a good job of representing middle TN down there on the coast.

Great to see another local channel! Always a fun place to fish. Hard heads and rays had a many of those fun days but caught a lot of reds under that bridge too. Fun video take care!

That's our go to spot for reds and bulls in late Fall early winter. Usually throw cutbait on Carolina. Have caught my biggest bullred about 20 yards from there and quite a few right there at the bridge on cut white trout! Also caught my first bullred on a popping cork with a DOA shrimp right there and it was awesome! It can be a very catfishy spot too though! Tight lines!🎣

Love the videos Brad. I’m headed to orange beach next week and we are staying in the condo right next to the Pass Wall. Wanted to fish the wall and wanted to know what would be my best setup as far as gear, bait, etc in order to increase my chances at some fish. Thanks for any info. Keep the good content coming.

Catching a Catfish is worse than catching nothing. I caught one at the Jetty and as I swung him up, he jammed into my leg. Stung me . Got infected and had to go to the doctor for an antibiotic. Left a scar. I don’t mess with them!!!!

I have fished the Pass a few times...catfish big time, including a big topsail cat...red fish a few times.

Today the mackerel were absolutely crazy, you would get a bit or a fish every cast, then some charter named “Triple c” came to catch bait and ruined it :/

Any time I fish that spot I use larger baits like chunks of mullet, live pinfish, blue crabs on a Carolina rig. You still will get catfish but not as many and you have a higher chance of catching bull reds and black drum. Still catching catfish is better than nothing

Brand new to saltwater fishing. We are spending this winter and next in Gulf Shores so hoping to learn and do more saltwater surf/pier fishing. I have seen different artificial options but don't know enough about saltwater to know what is best.

Fishbites and FishGum are great for surf fishing. Add some fresh dead shrimp and you can catch just about anything.

OK I have a serious question you’re right handed why do you have your refills for everything for the most part on the left side a lot of people are like that I don’t understand I hate my real on that side I’m so much more comfortable on the right side you should try it out and don’t forget get you some 🐊 your shoes can get wet if you have on 🐊
