I’m a newbie in cigars ( being smoking cigarettes over 20 years tho ! I know I’m not proud about it 🤷🏻♂️) but This particular cigar got my attention!!! I had it for the first time yesterday…..I really enjoyed it 😋
@@TimRollins My sentence structure was all wrong. I was asking your opinion as Ive never tried the sungrown. Based on other replies, sounds like I can't go wrong with either. Thanks for your diplomatic reply ☺️.
@@PROTOTYPE-ISH I would say it's not necessarily better than the maduros. It's different. More citrus spice. Leather instead of coffee. I'd suggest trying one for yourself. The sungrown and maduro are both really good cigars.
I am smoking one of these guys today, but the smaller vitola, I’d say the robusto, it seems to be more peppery but with a lot of the same qualities you mention here, I have to say it is a lovely cigar, smooth but punchy, still creamy and subtly sweet. I love these barrel aged perdomos, it’s a luxury cigar at near an everyday smoking price point what else can you say! Side note, I’m pairing with a dram or two of 1792 bourbon, great pairing!
Hi Tim.. I really like this cigar.. Its a beautiful cigar and impeccably made.. I love the sun grown..I'm a big fan of Nick's cigars...epicure is the way to go..Thanks for the reviews
I've been smoking these alot lately, and I have to say it is one of my favorite sticks ever. Not many blenders can balance flavors like Perdomo, they are all recognizable, but neither one outshines the other which gives you the chance to enjoy each one fully. definitely box worthy. I hope to visit perdomo factory one day.
Top review as always Tim. Bought a box of these in June 2015 so they have been sitting in the coolador for just over a year, too scared to smoke them because I enjoy them so much. Can't explain the joy of opening the box and seeing them packed in there smelling awesome. Look, smell and taste so good, and the size (of the boxed pressed little babies) is absolutely perfect. I live in fear of running out! Thinking of getting a box of the maduro version as well. Thumbs up mate, cheers PS I have a box of Padron 3000, and they look great as well, but think my taste isn't developed enough to really enjoy them. Will let them sit a few years if I have to, to make sure every one of them is fully enjoyed.
duanmcinnes Life is short! Smoke them! Contrary to popular believe, alot of cigars lose flavors if you let them sit to long. Believe me, Perdomo did the aging for you on this cigar.
Thanks for the advice, you are too right, I should puff them and enjoy now, life can be too short. I ended up getting a box of the Maduros and was surprised to see them all in cello. There is little or no aroma from the box like the Sungrown, and so far the taste is not even same ball park, very weak. These I think I will hold on to for a while and hope something develops, nothing to lose either way.
The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown is fantastic! You'll see a difference between it and the Padron, which is another great cigar, but I love the Perdomo! I have them regularly. Love 'em!
Tim this did not make it into your top cigars of 2013. Just wondering what you think of it now, with two years passed. Looks like a great cigar with complexity. Thanks for the review.
Trying one of these now... Robusstouhh... the robusto. I have a BOX! of Perdomo 20th Anniversary Maduro Robustos!!!!! :) 24 Cigars, sealed box in the closet.
