I watch a lot of F1 youtube news videos and yours are easily the best. No guff or bullshit, well paced, informative and not dragged out into a 10 minute video.
Perez is Red Bull's biggest threat to the constructor's championship. I fully expect them to lose it this season due to his underperformance, there's no way this can continue on for two more years.
Perez needs to go because they won't win the constructors championship which is performance. Lawson seems the best option give him a trial for the second half of the season and decide from there.
So many people last year were like "Perez is the perfect partner for Max because he still comes 2nd but isn't challenging Max for the win!".... except that doesn't really work when Max is having to fight for podiums, they should have just replaced him ages ago, but I guess it's harder to justify replacing the guy coming 2nd compared to the guy who is in 6th and may be 7th by the end of today (he got lucky with Russell bombing out, otherwise he'd be looking at 8th).
I've emaiIed you a while ago but never heard back. Any chance you might be interested in appearing on the DRS Train Podcast? We're doing in-depth F1 content, both about current events/races and historic topics. I'm the producer/creator. We've already had on guests like The Mobile Chicane and Josh Revell. Peter Brook is one of the presenters.
Red Bull should have NEVER given Checo the new deal. He just isn't capable of delivering what the team needs. Hell last year should've been a sign of that, when the RB19 was a vastly stronger car compared to the rest of the grid. Red Bull should've been getting 1-2s every race, but Checo's slump in performance while being in the best car showed he can't be counted on each race weekend. Yet here we are, it's either underperforming Checo, Riccardo or Lawson for the 2nd Red Bull seat since they don't seem to care Tsunoda is crushing Riccardo right now. Also getting Sainz is a pipe dream since neither Max's or Carlos' dads can stand one another. Hopefully this whole fiasco costs Red Bull the constructor's and that's coming from a Red Bull fan.
I am sure that I am not alone when I say that I think that Perez has lost the right for that seat at RB. He did this two years ago as well, he won a race, got a new contract, and his performance dropped immediately. Over all, he only managed ONES to end 2nd in the standings, and this was only just.
