Unfortunatelly not. It's VERY easy, really. Just hang the bracket on the wall for the head. Hang the heat exhanger/compressor. Run the lineset. Connect the drain line and apply power. Biggest issue is making sure the drain line is taught and drains.
I give Perfect Aire high marks for customer service as we had one of their window units die on us just out of warranty and they no questions asked shipped us a new one at no cost.
Absolutely. This unit is lower-cost and can pull heat out of four degree tear. Something like the Mitsubishi hyper heat can pull heat out of -14 below it's insane what they can do. I am referring to Fahrenheit numbers. No electric heating element.
Very well. Better than I expected. I never installed one of these and I had a couple of “leaks”. I should have put more slope on it for the drain tube. If you install one, make sure t put about 1/4” slope on it to avoid issues. It’s probably excessive but I had to tear down the unit. But that wasn’t hard either, just different. Let me know what you end up doing. I’d like to hear your feedback. This was the only unit I’ve ever had, so far. I WILL put them into my house when I build. I a, very impressed.
