Im quite surprised with how this stabilizer performs and didnt expect that this stabilizer from Akko will perform great even with no mods applied. Tbh, I would choose this stabilizer any day if i were to pick one between this Akko Screw-in Stabs or the Durock v2. Im getting tired of the holee, epsi mod etc :p

Problem with other and many many stabilizers is that there is still so much Free space even after lubing, if a company made tight stabilizers that wouldnt have so much Free space, you wouldnt even need to lube

Yeaaa couldnt agree more. Theres probably a reason for a manufacturer for leaving a space inside the stabs housing. Since im no expert, one that i can think of is, to eliminate any chances of the stems and housing to wear down after some years of usage due to friction. There's probably other reason too. @@IzuanHezri Well staebies did reduce the interior space but it resulted in a "sluggish" stab, kinda like holee modded stabs before breaking in. I would imagine that tighter tolerances like that would result in the same issue.

It’s due to friction and movement in the housing since less room to move around will result in a really sluggish stab or it just doesn’t pop up

good video. Akko makes good products. I have two keycap sets and they are top notch. The second one I got it in the ASA profile and its very comfortable to type on. Too bad these are not plate mount. Just got some Durocks plate mount stabs for my nk65 oblivion and thankfully it fitted and sounded properly. Nice video quality by the way. Cheers.

I wish they would release clip in ones. My Akko board that I bought prebuilt from them sounds AMAZING stock and the stabs are clip in. Would make modding budget boards so much easier imo.

Do you find that there's still a lot of free-play when a key is in the top position, however the tolerance between the wire and the stem is so tight that you can't even wrap 1 round of tape around the wire and get it in. Grease silences the ticking noises but the free play is still there. However, in the bottom position everything is very tight so they bottom out real clean.

Just got the Akko 5075s DIY kit as my entry board! Im coming to a decision now with what stabilizers I want. Your video helped! I might just mod the stabs that come with the board. I’m excited to custom build my first board!

That's not a bad deal, however most people forget they don't have to buy overpriced stabs like tx or durock, just buy gmk stabilizers and take the extra time to wire balance

The fact that someone considers durocks as a good or premium stabs is a joke. Durock's tolerance is a joke and no amount of lubing or balancing will guarantee ticking free expenience. Even gateron ink v2 stabs(which are supposed to be zeal pc oem) require tons of wire balancing and lubing to get rid of any ticking. Good stabs should not require any type of holee mod and why would you buy expensive stabs to use it with sluggish holee mod?

yeah i agree, ever since using the owlstabs that came with my qk65, which required no tuning besides just lube to have 0 rattle, i refuse to ever buy durocks

Agreed bro. On the sidenote, yes durock v2 is considered as premium stabs back in the days. Im talking about 2020 ish. And durock v1 way before that. Where those days, there were so limited choices of stabs.

Well to be honest really, stab mods aren't really required if your lube technique is pretty consistent The thing that i noticed from all these mods are that they obstruct or hinder the full motion of a Stabilizer up and down travel, making them feel weird personally

please DONT buy akko stabilizers! on all of my 3 sets the spacebar wire was bent so bad i couldnt fix the ticking even after holee mod and a decent amount of lube!

Are those goldplated? If yes, why? Do they need to carry a current? If no, why was it applied on these stabs? All it does it chip and mess up your board in time.

Hello there. Its a different stabs. The one that comes with most akko keyboard are the plate tpu mounted stabs. This one is the screw-in/pcb mounted stabs

Hello there. Apparently not. The MOD series comes with akko plate mount stabs. Which is kinda good if compare to any stabs that comes with a kit out there.

Sort of weird that this is a different design from their plate mounted stabs, which use some kind of foam dampener. I have it on my Akko Alice and I didn't have to put a single drop of lube on there.

Hello there. May i know which board are we talking about? I dont know if u noticed, but normally the one that comes with akko keyboard is the plate mount stabs. The one im talking about in this video is the PCB mount or Screw-in stabs. Those 2 are completely different stabs.

Wasalam bro. Saya tak pro mana bab ni, tapi saya cuba tolong ye. Case 1: Static charges datang dari badan kita. Bukan dari keyboard. Case 2: Static charges dari PC. Solution: 1. Untuk case 1, bro kena discharge static dulu sebelum sentuh any alu/metal/steel, dalam kes ni, keyboard. 2. Untuk case 2, try guna power outlet lain. Atau tukar extension, atau tukar psu power cable etc etc.
