Love your chanel and your sons. Do you really think you would be sent a video with a pejorative lyric about slaves. That bummed me out. I love your channel as many others who respect you too much and even if they didn't I'd seriously doubt they would say it. I've never listened to disparaging music. It breaks my heart how far we've come back I feel like we went 50 years in the past. Saddens me. Racists are out there but not the norm. Love you guys. Great vibes.

Chris Cornell has the long black curly hair. Eddie Vedder is the other mega voice. The slave reference isn't racial. Here is what Chris says about his song..... "I was wanting to express the gratitude for my life but also disdain for people where that's not enough, where they want more. There's no way to really have a whole lot more than you need usually without taking from somebody else that can't really afford to give it to you. It's sort of about taking advantage of a person or people who really don't have anything." Pretty much talking about us all being "slaves" to the rich and greedy. Now on to Pearl Jam "Black" MTV unplugged version!!!!

My interpretation is that the song is about protesting injustice by hunger strike, slavery being one of those injustices. The singers seem to be recognizing their privileges, and a hunger strike is their way of protesting these.

Yes.. Chris is the lead singer in TEMPLE OF THE DOG....SOUNDGARDEN AND AUDIOSLAVE....to me he has THE MOST PERFECT VOICE IVE EVER HEARD....his voice is always pitch perfect....never nasal...never flat...no matter what octave or range he hits ....it ...is....flawless....everytime....and I believe he has an octave of 8.....there are other GREAT. GREAT.GREAT singers out there....especially in Rock and Metal....but to me no one surpasses Chris's. ...range...power...delivery..beauty...even the Great Chester Bennington...said after the song he and Chris performed...That Chris has THE most beautiful voice in Rock and Roll....and he meant every word....I love the differences in Chester and Chris...I live Linkin Park...but Chris is my favorite singer....ever....I miss them both...no replacing either of them. EVER.... RIP CHRIS....RIP CHESTER...two beautiful artists with beautiful souls

That IS Chris Cornell ;) Just a younger version of him haha So now you've heard the sheer power of Chris Cornell you need to dip into some Soundgarden which was his main band. I'd recommend "Like Suicide" for a gradual build up to his chest voice and some cool drum work

Chris Cornell was trying to finish this song but was struggling with it. Eddie Vedder pitched in and the rest is history. It's actually Eddie's first video before Pearl Jam. Great choice!

This is actually Chris Cornell and the drummer representing Soundgarden, and the guy's who would go on to create Pearl Jam. The album being a tribute to the lead singer of Mother Love Bone. Andrew Wood died of a Heroin overdose he was subsequently replaced by Eddie Vedder and they became Pearl Jam

Yes. This...Chloe Dancer/ Crown of Thorns was mine and my first boyfriend's song. He passed from cancer recently, but when I visited him, we re-listened to all of these great bands and reminisced. I wish more people would react to Crown of Thorns, even though Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam are my favorite singer/band of all time.

Watching some of your reactions, I think you might really enjoy Jeff Buckley's album "Grace" - my personal favorite track is "Lover, You Should've Come Over". It's on my list of songs I wish were written for me because I think it's that beautiful. He had a voice like no other and was masterful on the guitar. Chris Cornell loved him too.

Well Chris Cornell and that Ed V fellow might find a way of making beautiful music together. Pearl Jam is the remnants of Mother Love Bone. Chris was the singers roommate. Andrew Wood's death was heartbreaking. Temple of the Dog is a tribute to Andrew. Listen to Say Hello to Heaven with this knowledge.
