I remember when playing japanese games on my windows 2000 the text never displayed properly, I had to install the Japanese IME/Unicode on my computer. you will need to go to the control panel, co to the keyboard icon and go to the input locales tab, then click the add button. a window will pop up and you need to chose Japanese from the Input Locale, then click OK and restart. you may need to install it from the windows install CD or a source if your install doesnt have it on your hardrive. but that will fix the issues with the text not displaying properly.
