Being able to exit out of the menu screen. Mind blowing. Reflective ground surfaces. Mind blowing. Walking sound effects. Mind blowing. Being able to explore the Carrington Institute freely. Mind blowing. Music that is groovy and insanely catchy. Mind blowing. These are just a few things that went through kids minds when they first played Perfect Dark. It was great fun to walk around and bother everyone at the Carrington Institute. It was such a genius idea to let players walk around and get familiar with the building and the characters because it makes a bigger impact when you have to defend the institute and save the characters in a later mission. I love that even in 2020 this game still gets well deserved love. This is one of the best games ever and it's sad how few people have actually played it. We need a pc port Rare!

It really set the bar for split screen multiplayer, story telling, score, and level design just to name a few. It was the first game that I played where you could have bots in multiplayer. Those who haven't played have really missed out.

Man, those soundtracks were the bomb. Nowadays everything is too atmospheric and unnoticeable... May I suggest Runway X or Dam X from Goldeneye? Or maybe something from Timesplitters? :P

I appreciate that you did the "X" part of the track at the end. I always loved the sped up portions of tracks in Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.

Wow, this is just... criminally underviewed. Obviously the music is the real showpiece here, but my god, the editing of the video clips in timing with the music is absolutely phenomenal.
