Dashimaki Tamago
Ingredients:
Eggs: 2
Milk: 4 tablespoons
White dashi: 1 teaspoon
Sugar: 1 teaspoon
Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
Steps:
Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them well.
Add milk, white dashi, sugar, and soy sauce to the eggs, and mix everything together thoroughly.
Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan.
Pour a portion of the egg mixture into the pan.
Let it set slightly, then roll it towards you.
Repeat this process, adding more of the egg mixture and rolling it each time, until all the egg mixture is used.
After the dashimaki tamago is cooked, remove it from the frying pan and immediately wrap it in plastic wrap.
Place the wrapped egg on a bamboo mat or a sushi mat and gently press to shape it.
Leave it for a few minutes to ensure the egg takes on a uniform shape, making it easier to cut.
Once it has set, cut it into bite-sized pieces to serve.
