Thanks for posting this detailed video. This is exactly what we are looking for. We just booked a cruise on the Oasis that includes the Cococay port for next summer. From the port schedule, it shows Freedom of the Seas will also be at port that same day. So, potentially we will have about 10,000 guests on the island. We are doing some research on the cabanas, hopefully to avoid the crowd. The beach cabana and over water cabanas in the beach club are just too expensive. From your video, the South Beach cabanas look nice. I read that we have to be fast in order to be able to reserve one. On one of the Cococay map I found online, there are also South Beach beach beds. Also on the Royal Caribbean Cococay excursion web page, it also shows South Beach beach beds. I do not see any beach beds on South Beach in your video. Were there any beach beds on South Beach while you were there? Guess beach bed is an option, in case we were not fast enough to book a cabana.

Heading there next month. We rented a cabana on south beach for 6 of us! Thank you for all the useful info. We were there about 4 years ago. No cabanas, just oversized umbrellas with 2 lounge chairs & a table.

Thanks for the video. We are trying to decide which Cabana to book. Chill island vs south beach. You mentioned the tide. Now knowing this; which area would you choose for location?

You’re very welcome ☺️ Chill Island is busier, less chill and the cabanas weren’t as new. As far as I could tell, the low tide didn’t affect them. So I would stay at Chill Island or the CocoBeach Club! The tide smelled like sewer. Also it was mucky and a little rocky, so bring water shoes! Also a very important point, South Beach is right next to the employee area of the island, they don’t tell you that beforehand either….

I see you didn't wait for the tram Was it a long walk to south beach? Yayy for fans. I just saw a tour from 2yrs ago that didn't show that. Does this cabana have a speaker for music?

Tram gets extremely crowded first thing, so just an easy 10 minute stroll to South Beach! Signage isn’t great, so if confused, just ask an employee. When you enter the island turn right, then you’re on your way! Fans were a nice surprise…. No speakers that I recall! Also, remember the tides will make this area grassy and ugly for a few hrs in your day, so be mindful, I’m sure seasons vary… Have a magical time:)

Yes! But,,, if it goes on sale closer to your cruise and you snag one, then I think it’s worth it. So just keep out a watchful eye on it…

I see it says minimum age : 4 years old for this cabana. Are there kids allowed over there? I’m just wondering what the minimum age is about, I have a 3 year old

I haven’t read an age minimum for the cabanas, probably, because my babies are young adults now. I can’t understand why there would be one, being it’s more money in their pocket overall. I’m sorry, I’m not much help! Enjoy your stay:)

Hey, i am wondering is it worth getting the south beach cabana an registering all of us 2 adults 2 kids or just register 1 adult an 1 kid and we get the hut?

I'm not sure what "hut" you're referring to? I would never pay full price for a cabana there again, as there are so many free chairs with umbrellas to enjoy! Save your money and enjoy the FREE stuff!

All the food (minus Coco Club food) is free as an extension of your ship! The only difference with the cabana is your server will take your order and bring it to you!
