I did kind of have to laugh as I recognize my age/generational differences. I find a lot of these everyday perfumes. My "special event or party" fragrances lean more toward Amouage Fate, Coco Chanel, or YSL Noble Leather, BIG fragrances LOL. I do love the fragrances listed here though. Happy Holidays! As I continue south France I pick up cold #2. The first was 10 days. The 2nd is brutal and I likely have 3 more days to be 100%. Ive been coughing over 2 weeks! My streak of niche cologne smelling took at a hit. In Monaco I stumbled on Xerjoff store! I tried some new releases like Torino 23 which was much different from Tor 21. The rose is subtle and I could pick it easy. Tried any Perris Monte Carlo frags? I want to try Cacao Azteque on my skin. I only had the paper capture. I got Arome La Magie Du Tabac(both honey and vanilla version). The tobacco is only hinted and it is smooth. I tried another Guerlain vanilla cologne which is strong (Vanille Planifolia). It is extrait.

Letters de pushkar is gorgeous i tested it yesterday Mandorle was extremely medicinal on my skin and to my nose unfortunately. you are lucky that rosendo mateau 5 works on you

Cherries, caramel, fruits-these aren’t typically what I’d reach for in terms of big party fragrances. Like Kerrie mentioned in her comment, maybe I’m showing my age here but I’d go for big Amber spicy numbers… oud for greatness though is right up my alley I also received a sample of mula mula double caramel and in spite of not loving sweet fragrance in general really liked this one for some reason! Totally understand! For something like a Christmas party, I recently posted a video on festive fragrances that remind me of the season that include profiles with amber, spices, tobacco, etc. :) In this video, I wanted to feature more fun or sexy party fragrances, but if it was a more formal event, I would go with a different vibe with my choice Happy Holidays to you and yours! ❤️

Hi! Sorry I’ll elaborate. Do either of the mulas smell similar to La capital? They seem to have similar note structure and if so, what’s preferable?

@@710inferno They do smell very similar! The original MM being the most similar to LC, I don't think you need both La Capital and one of the Mula Mulas in your collection. La Capitale differs from Mula Mula with the leather & saffron, and I find the Mula Mulas to be a bit sweeter in comparison. The Double Caramel version comes across a little warmer and has overall a bit of a smoother feel to me from the extra caramel. I personally enjoy Mula Mula Double Caramel the most :)

Note vanille is 👌🏼 and this is from someone who thought they hated/got nauseas from vanillas. Turns out I like a boozy vanilla. So pretty (I just tried Rifaqaat the middle eastern perfume inspired by baby cat since I can’t try the real thang and it’s giving me a headache. It’s sweet and not as refined obviously as the M. Micallef)

I haven't smelled Rifaqaat, but if you're looking for another alternative to Babycat, I'd try a sample of Penhaligon's Eau de Audacity. I haven't tried that one either, but The Perfume Nest posted a video comparing a bunch of fragrances in the profile of Babycat, and she said that was her favorite one and the most comparable :) Perhaps you'd like it more than Rifaqaat?
