Anyone can go as long as you are willing to pay the fees. Bottom line, there is no concern for performance prior to attending, just bring the credit card.
Looked like a good day for sure. Congrats. Only thing I was sort of confused about is the stretching on your own. Really should have a calisthenics coach out there with some sort of routine in my opinion. Other than that, nice work buddy
Yoo nice video I am going to a showcase in either February or the summer and I am going to make a RU-vid video to upload to my channel about how the showcase went. Can you tell me how they evaluate you and when/how long it takes until you get your pg grade? Or can get nationally ranked from a showcase
Usually day one they measure you 60yrd dash and then based on position you break up into groups. Infielders get a round of ground balls that allow you to showcase you technique and velo throwing across the Diamond. Catchers do pop time, outfielders throw to home all of which is under radar. I think it took two weeks for my PG grade.
@@amarireynolds6491 Oh ok thanks. I am primarily a pitcher and I am going to a showcase this upcoming summer. Am I limited to only doing pitching? Or since I’m a secondary outfielder can I do outfield, and am I able to do infield/hitting as well? I also hit.
Honestly you can showcase at all positions listed on your profile. I would personally do all positions don’t limit yourself. During the second day or whenever games are played pitchers are evaluated. Also make sure to let the ball fly when pitching because they want to see what you can do. Good Luck!
@@amarireynolds6491 Thank you! I only have pitcher and outfield on my profile but u think I can do imfield just because I can throw hard from the infield so I want to get my velo on my profile and outfield velo and also pitching
I’m saying whatever you’re ready to showcase do it. If you’re not yet where you want to be at a specific position maybe hold off and get more work in before showcasing that position.
www.perfect game.org and create a profile if you haven’t already. Usually if your team plays a PG event and you get stats that land you in the “all tournament” award you will usually get an invite to a showcase nearby. Otherwise go to events and look up showcases you’re interested in and request an invite.
From what I’ve seen there’s a couple ways to get into a showcase. You perform well in a Perfect Game or PBR event or if the showcase allows you can request an invite. As far as what I’ve seen with Perfect Game, I’ll usually get a showcase invite if I receive an All- Tournament award. I’m guessing you see 100-150 kids at each showcase?
Participating in PG events are one way to get showcase invites. I think you can go to Perfect Game.org and create an account. Then search for showcases and request an invite to one near you.
Honestly it depends. I think there are organizations that recruit kids to put on showcase teams, but for me this was an event I was invited to by doing well in a tournament. Then I registered for the event and perfect game chose teams between all the players that registered. Hope that helps?
