Does it mater, Matt heffey is literally having a custom 9 string made right now cause he wants to have lower notes on a guitar. People use it don’t hate but create ;-)

Doubles as kind of like a regular E standard 4 string bass tuning with D standard guitar tuning, which I find that concept really interesting & probably loads of fun.

@@justindewit7903 9 string tuning has the same 4 low strings as a bass tuned to c#1 standard (like basses tom araya used when playing slayer songs from diabolus in musica and god hates us all) and when you tune you bass to c#0 to play along with a 9 string guitar humans can't actually hear c#0

@@thrashefe3523 but you dont tune to c#0, you would most likely keep it in the same octave as your guitars

@@Atom1KK cause that’s just what the standard 9 string tuning is

@@Atom1KK Because they follow the pattern of all the other strings (with the high B being an exception). The 5th fret on every string for these standard tunings is always basically the same note as the string on top of it. So like on the C# string the 5th fret is F#, the 5th fret on the F# is B, etc. The only exception is on the G string, where the 4th fret is the high B.
