For those who are new to tunings, the animation is wrong after the F# plays. The sound moves on to A# but F# continues to flash. Don't break your G string.
I always keep in time when I tune. People have asked me, "How do you have such good timing while you tune?" I tell them it is because I have such good tuning when I time!
good notes...good pace...no dickhead talking about himself when we don't care If he lives or dies...just the thing we need...no more...no less....great vid.

Linkin Park has 2 songs with the same tuning in D# standard: Forgotten and a place for my head. Green day just tuned D# standard for a demo version of good riddance too.
The warmer sound comes from the looser tension on the strings but can also be affected by your picking position. In standard try playing either directly over the cente
Using Flat E tuning has nothing to do with how frequently the strings break; that depends on string guage and how often you play as well as how well you care for the guitar.
187Guitarplayer…..Wow you are stunning!!! 🤩🤩🤩 I told my wife how beautiful you are! thank you for this amazing piece of music!!! I shall share it with my grandchildren when they get older! This is what real music sounds like!!!
Yup AIC uses this tuning for all of there Layne-era songs, maybe on the new albums too. Some of the songs like Them Bones / Dam that River, are this, but the low e is dropped to match the d string
I definitely try to play the version of Good riddance but thanks! Edit: I'm tuning the same Half step down tuning after an anxiety break down due to Tuning to E standard broken a High e string on a new acoustic guitar.
Чувак, я вообще не понимаю нот и не знаю, что такое дропы.. Я нашла это видео, зная только буквы DGCFAD.... 2 часа пыталась настроить свою гитару и смогла в первый раз в жизни сыграть свой любимый метал ❤
Wow,I've been tuning my guitars by ear for years in this tuning. Just checked my guitar against this and I'm spot on by EAR. To be fair, I've been doing this for 40+ years.
Examples of bands with eb tuning (A/K/A D# standard) (Half step down): (Guns N' Roses, Slash on soilist,Velvet Revolver on Fall to pieces, Metallica on Load and ReLoad, Rage against the machine on Bulls on parade, RATT, Simple Plan, Alice in chains, Green Day on Dookie, Cannibal Corpse on I cum blood, Pantera on Hollow, Slayer, The Offspring, Black Label Society, Linkin Park, etc.)
has nobody noticed that it highlights the a sharp string once then highlights the f sharp for what should be a sharp look at the letters at this time 0:47
Just be careful on the last few strings because the graphic doesnt match to the string being played...it changes back from the 5th string (A#) to the 4th (F#)
