The operator is pretty decent in this video. I do think that they should have had either a larger bulldozer brought in or a second one about the same size. This would definitely have allowed for more trucks to dump and increase production. Either way, nice video.
For most part these jobs are quite good with good operators. However they would ne greatly more efficient and have better quality surface if a sheepshead compactor was being used along with the dozer. Would be safer for trucks and eliminate pushing soil so far by dozer.
There are good operaters and some not so hot iv seen better than this ,some drivers dont make much attempt to get closer and drop any where i hope the drivers watch this yideo .good filming
The problem is compaction of the soil as the trucks are in danger of sinking. What's missing is they need a sheepshead compactor work with the dozer to compact as they place in the lifts. The cost of a compactor would be covered by cost and time it takes to push the soil so far.
You drone operators really should wear high visibility vests. I have been right next to guys on jobs just like that and wham! One second I am talking with a guy about his daughter’s upcoming sweet sixteen birthday party and the next second he’s a corpse lying on the road. Please be careful. It doesn’t take much.
