We decided not to travel ,having heard the terrible weather forecast. Question : should comma be placed before perfect participle phrase if we place it at end? But if we place comma at the end that it doesn't look like nonessential information .
It's perfectly fine. The comma is used at the end to avoid the misleading that can occur as a noun van sit before it and we might think the prepositional phrase is modifying it.
