What a humble guy. He knows that his tremendous talent is a developed gift. The late great Joey Defrancesco had a similar gift, humbly saying in an interview, "I know I'm not normal". Guys like this make me want to sell my Hammond organ and grand piano and just "go fishin'". But they would not want me to feel that way.
If Gordon created an album with just one Christmas song, played twelve different ways, would be great. I would buy it. Though, I would want him to pick the song and the genre for each. And, Yes, an instrumental album.

I don’t remember when I’ve enjoyed tan interview more. Never heard Gordon Mote as much as I have today and in the past few weeks. I have been watching and following Gaither videos and National Quartet conventions so his music has come up a lot! What an incredible and talented man he is!
Man! I love this guy! I met him briefly in the 80’s at a church in Gadsden. I’m proud to know someone as wonderful as Gordon Mote came out of Gadsden Al. Great podcast. Gordon is such a fun guy to listen to music and talking!
When I heard that Gordon went to Jackson State University it solidified one of my bucket list goals. I want to personally hear Andy tell me about the Walter Payton football memorabilia that he possesses and the story behind it.
This was incredible! I learned so much about Mote that I didn't know! Got to meet him at the Gaither reunion concert a few years back. I feel like the opposite of Gordon mote because while he's blind, I have a condition called synesthesia that allows me to see color in music!
