Ingredients:
Eggs
500ml Water
100ml Koikuchi Shoyu (Standard Japanese Soy Sauce)
100ml Mirin
Directions:
- boil cold eggs in boiling water (with 1/2tsp baking soda) for 7 minutes
- cool down and peel while still slightly warm
- combine all the liquids, drop the eggs in the marinade and put in the fridge for at least 24 hours

yup! if you don't like it a certain way, there's probably some other possible way it can be made or spices/other add ons to make it way better. lots of chickens mean we have to figure out different ways to use eggs lol

Kenji Lopez-Alt actually did a bunch of experiments on peeling eggs and baking soda isn't the trick, it's dropping the egg into already boiling water that makes the most difference

The egg is slightly overcooked because you cooked it for 7 minutes then didn't have enough ice to cool it down and the egg continues to cook. Cook the egg for 6 and 1/2 minutes make sure you have a proper ice bath chill it, marinade, serve

Nah bro, 6.5 minutes is perfect because its runnier but the egg yolk congeals and solidifies a little after sitting in the fridge for more than a day while in marinade

Anything in a brine or marinate soaks up more flavour the longer you keep it in. Try to walk the thin line between delicious and rancid, that's what life is about isn't it?

Hollywood now, is pushing more audiences to watch better content from overseas. Countries like Germany, France, Korea, Japan, and others, as simply providing better quality entertainment, and it’s from people that just want to entertain and are just passionate about film as a medium. While Hollywood seems content with pushing away long-time fans and moviegoers, seemingly ok with profits of say, 7 million dollars, over 15 billion. They’re loosing potential billions, and giving it to studios overseas, as more people in the west, gradually watch more foreign entertainment. Because Hollywood sure isn’t providing the entertainment the majority of audiences want. This is why we see Disney slowly declining. They went from smiley entertaining, to getting involved in politics. Now they’re left millions of dollars poorer, and years too late to repair their almost completely tarnished reputation.

Life chaning hack for you. Cook the eggs if not more then 3 at ones in a water cooker. Cooks much faster and safes electrecity. Cook it twice and its perfectly cooked each time thank me later. No need to heat up water in a pot each time

Finally got the courage to roll the eggs on the counter before peeling them, and they were so easy! They are marinating now, I'll be making ponyo ramen for my husband and myself while we watch ponyo. Thanks for the easy instructions!

No fr though 7 minutes is crucial. Yolk is still soft and runny, but the whites are cooked. At 6 minutes you still have gelatinous liquidy whites - personally not my thing.

basically it raises the Ph of the water and Eggs and this then changes the way the shells break, the ph changed causes the shells to break off in much larger chunks rather than small pieces,- thus making it easier to peel
