This was amazing! I'm 66 and grew up listening to D. P. To hear this done in this style is outstanding. Something else I noticed. Sina is all about music. Obviously, people come to her channel for her drumming skills. In this video, there was very little about Sina and her drum skills. It was all about the various musicians. Beautiful job.
I also just commented similarly in another forum (Patreon), that Sina was content providing rhythm support and not grabbing the spotlight. The fact that she lets her colleagues shine and allows them to do their best is one of the aspects that makes her so special. That and the fact she is a true humanitarian... This isn't even a comment on the song or music, but I needed to mention and add that these qualities (including her amazing talent) is what draws in supporters (like me and her other patreon members). Rock on!!
Same, a 1960 model.. gosh, I was a teenage hippy when Deep Purple was in their prime. This performance is on another level though, superb. I'm going for another go right now. 🤘

Camilo Bastidas's tenor saxophone and Marius Holland's keys added an extra layer of magic, while Manu’s guitar work, Maria Cozzani and Leon Bartelsman's soaring violins, Janne Paardenkooper and Simone Minn's lush violas, and Sara Maraston's haunting cello created a rich and vibrant sound. Been into Deep Purple since I was 7yrs old. When Mach 2 reunited in '84 with this Album it was a pure magical blast from the past. To see it done in this manner goes to show how brilliant the band truly was(is?) You all are fantastic and hallelujah to yuh for your vision.... I'm just mesmerized by your talent and your love for Purple...
I purchased this album back in the '80s. The title song was my favorite. To Sina and ALL those involved in this production, wonderful performance 🔥♥️🇺🇸

In 1984 Purple stopped by Houston with Guiffria and Dokken. Perfect Strangers. Still ranks in my top 5 all time shows! So glad you guys keep on keeping Classic Rock ALIVE!

Superb cover of a great song. I saw DP perform this at Knebworth Park in June 1985, where they were supported by Scorpions, Meat Loaf and a few other bands. I remember Ian Gillan making a rubbish joke about the song being based on a football team called the Perfect Street Rangers. Then he giggled so much during Knocking At Your Back Door that he could barely finish it, but that's another story.
This is why I watch RU-vid. Sina you bring back many happy memories of the past with a fresh sound to these old classics. You have some great musicians, love listening to Chiara sing. You have been one of the best discoveries on YT Big fan from Australia.
OMG guys! When I turned this video on I was sitting down and still had socks on my feet. Now, they are nowhere to be found because you all just blew them off. Deep Purple was one of my most favorite groups when I was young and learning this song was hard but I learned them all. This is one BADASS song. So well done group. BTW Sina, that’s a badass outfit you are wearing. Totally appropriate for this song.

Y'all nailed that M.F.!!! Thanks to all of you. I'm well into my 60s. When I was about y'all's age, I was stationed in Germany. Something magical happens when your orchestra performs. Memories of my time in Germany come to life. Extremely stressful with the 3ver escalating Soviet vs. Allied arms race. At the same time, a wondrous adventure. The culture, food, villages, and towns. The autobahn!! Watching each of you. The smiles are youthful and full of hope. I get a warm feeling that we did our jobs of that dangerous time well. Thank y'all again.
Love to see young folks bringing back old jams. When this album came it in '84 it was the first album from DP in 9 years or so. We were all stoked to have them back and have them on MTV as well. I can remember being at a friend's house at 0500 or so and watching him taking picture frames apart searching for blow under the fames while we shared this album with the entire apartment complex. Great days.
Sina, you are wonderful- a fixture in my video selection on a weekly. Both you and James Bell , another prodigy such as yourself, were 13 years old when I started follwing you. I was an adult when this was originally released by Deep Purple. This version is to put it mildly simply stunning. I love the orchestral and brass additions, the arrangement is nigh on perfect. This is so hard to say which version that I prefer. Well done everyone involved. Brilliant!
As a former drummer in a rock cover band, i noticed Sina on you tube doing skills that were so amazing to her age back then. I was so sure she would be great some day. And voila , here she XXX No, This GREAT band is doing THIS 😍 Whoow What a master piece 👌👍👍👍

I consider myself very picky about how "covers" are performed by others (being a 64 year old Deep Purple fan myself) . I was very impressed with this one though .... well done .... very well done. 👍👍
Wonderful performance! The musicians are all so talented. The arrangement composed by Linus Mahler was perfect. I especially enjoyed the crescendo of the strings near the end.

Well......... I was NOT expecting this when I clicked on the header!! Take a classic song by a legendary British group, add a horn and string section and have it played by a bunch of German youngsters and what happens? Something quite incredible, that's what. I know it sounds patronizing but it really is wonderful to see young people with such passion and talent directing it in a positive direction.
