Yesterday… I was burned down in my Kremlin by a Eagle in the first 4 minutes of the match. I shot my main guns 5 times and did 19k damage. I cannot tell you how fun and engaging that was.

You don't stop the strike group, you don't scare the CV player, you achieve nothing with a fighter. That is not even figuring in that it would be a T9 cruiser's fighter against a supercarrier's strike planes. See 14:58... Right now carriers are something that you can just stoically endure. There *is* nothing you can do. Tell the player to f*** off after the third or fourth strike, and sometimes they have mercy. Sometimes they just focus you EXTRA hard though. {shrug}

You should have prioritised that low hp DD your teammate was pinging. Edit - having watched the full video, the cv player in the other team was far more skilled - rather than chasing dmg done he contributed to his team’s success.

The thing is while Flambass shows how can this ship do in the hands of very good players this is actually a very bad play for the team. Like enemy Kleber with little HP was behind the island and proxy spotting Des Moines, he went for Conquerer insteead. Enemy eagle went for Shima.

I still remember the times when CV used to be fun for all parties involved CV players had fun RTS like game betwen each other in order to destroy enemy fighters while protecting own team from atack craft with grand prize being able snipe on enemy CV and gaining air dominance thus recking enemy team. And rest of the team was not getting cancer being asaluted by indestructible aircraft for whole damn match.

You state in the video, that most planes aren't designed to be part of a carrier group. That is actually very very wrong. Aircraft carrier planes, had to be built very different then land based planes, and a few companies such as Grumman specialized solely in carrier based planes. Grumman started with scout planes off battleships, and such, It understood the strains a plane had on catapult take offs, water landings, and on deck landings.. They began designing fighters way back in the early 30's with the FF FiFi, and continued right out to the F-14 tomcat. Japan's navel air arm actually had little "contact" with land air arm... and their aircraft were very different sharing nothing in common. It was really only the UK and Germany who, in both cases, lacked a dedicated air arm... used land based aircraft redesigned. But even then late war the UK had a few aircraft that were designed ground up to be navy with no land counterparts. On the flip side, they also bought DEDICATED us carrier aircraft, such as the F4F.

Got a game against an eagle. Was in shlieffen and eagle hit me in 1 rocket stike only, for 1/3 of my health. + 2 fires. I went to play tanks after this.

WG used to be a good gaming company, but then then just become a money sucking company with pay to win games. Feels bad as a 8 years WG games player.

The best part about CVs is how they get 2 extra minutes every game to farm the remaining enemy ships once their whole team died and the game is decided. Yet you'll see most CV players argue that they're perfectly fine and it's your problem if you don't enjoy them in the game. Truly some special kind of people.

The mask has fallen, no more pretends that carrierstrikes can be countered or, frankly, even interacted with. Dodging has meme status for a reason, a decent carrierplayer already does not care what kind of circles you draw, he can simply choose another angle while you hope none of your enemies are paying attention to your broadside. And now, within the time it takes for your BBs rudder to go neutral, the CV has already crossed the map with a jetsquad that can smash you for another 20k+ while also being completely disposable. It makes sense in a twisted way, carriers are already broken through their unmatched utility and damage potential, which can be applied wherever it is needed, the entire map is your stomping ground, if you want to one-up what is fundamentally broken you have to go into crack-cocaine territory. Still, I have serious doubts that even a seasoned carrierplayer could have turned this match around. For a carrier to apply its utility the team must at least be present to take advantage of it. Almost half the team got themselves killed with and abysmal 155-800 base xp to their name and this is not a rare sight. Honestly, if someone semi regularly finishes with under 800 xp in high tier games, that person needs to go back to tier 1, start over and learn how to play the game. Instead these players tend to just press W, get killed and then cry in chat about their team being campers, not being supported support and whatnot.

I find this amazingly funny because the guy is not even particularly good at CV's. I mean he's not BAD, but he's not got the spatial awareness and communication most of the really good CV mains have. He's very clearly a BB player using a CV while distracted by being a streamer-man. And he still fekkin' ripped people up in this ship. That's the funny part. A CV unicum will absolutely annihilate the entire team before the 4 minute mark in this bloody thing.

I don't understand why people play this SS...you don't get any credits, the free XP is a joke, so no real "evolution in the game" towards some other ship. So you end up feeding your ego for a limited time in a supership and when you go back to your normal ships and have 100k games, you feel like crap because you got used to 200k+. There's the fun gone. Then you see that SS increase your stats and you want a constant flux of OP ships so you'll eventually go to the premium shop. Great success...

You think that's bad? Last night every match I had with CVs, the enemy CV had double or better the winrate. One match that was Eagle vs Eagle, theirs had 73 matches and a 70% WR. Mine had 1 match and a 0% WR. And over and over again all night it was my CV 30 something %, enemy 60.

World of Warships Legends had no Aircraft Carriers when it came out. The day before they were finally introduced was the last day I played the game against real players. I refuse to play a game ostensibly about Warships that includes the 'ship' class that obsoleted naval warfare. It's like introducing Guns to Mount & Blade: Warband. As soon as they're in, you either use guns and win or lose to the people who do. Stale, pathetic, boring.

If this is wargamings way to tell people to stick together because of Anti Airfire - then I don't mind. Because - cruisers just don't stick around battleships to cover for AA. DD's for smoke - Cruisers for AA. That's how it was back in my days - 3 years ago when I still played this shit game lol

Over 300k damage before he even got his paint scratched. What is even the point of any other class of ship in the game when a CV can drain that much health from the enemy team's pool with no risk to itself? Everyone complains about subs, but at least WG has almost gone out of its way to make sure that subs can get touched. CVs on the other hand? Like it was an actual joke when Flambass commented that the Roon brought a scout plane. What would the fighter have done? Other than be a mild inconvenience.

Played in a Friedrich a few days and a friend in an GK. I was focused by 2 CV and was out after a few minutes. Shit down 25 Planes and it helped nothing... And don't get me started on the Submarines....

Funniest thing is that ww2 gunners literally could not hit jets. You would have to start firing before they were in visual range in order to hit them. And you would have to perfectly trace their route before ever knowing they were there. LOLOLOLOL. What a joke. They are just trying to kill the game at this point. Maybe they insured it and are trying to cash out?

The record is 550000 on haku before the nerfs so 350000 is balanced.
