The most we know about it is that Svarog found her in a landfill and took her in to observe her and determine plan to take care of her. Why he chose to do this and why he decision was to keep her with him long term is unknown beyond the fact that initially Clara was extremely resistant towards human contact for unknown reasons. Though the description of Clara's signature LC Something Irreplaceable seems to imply that Svarog was created with something deep inside him to lead him to find something to care about beyond his mission: ""Should a day come when even I'm not here anymore, please look after this database, Svarog." (Who is this... Why is this message in my records...) "Do you have something that's irreplaceable, Svarog?" (Irreplaceable... broken parts... can simply be replaced...) "You'll definitely find it one day, Svarog." (Such things... will only cause trouble...) "When that time comes... You should leave this place behind.""

@@Midnight-wh2bs man I should really read character stories, I guess I like these "big man protecting a little girl" type of relationships, since I also love Illya and berserker in fate/stay night which a lot of people already compared to Clara and Svarog, too bad Illya and berserker had a much sadder fate

@@SmashTheAdam Clara has actually been confirmed in an interview to have been loosely based on Illya and Berserker (though mainly the big monster protecting little girl trope in general). Also Clara was somewhat suppose to have a sadder fate as well in the beta but it was changed.

@@Midnight-wh2bs I never knew about that, I'm so happy they changed it, it would have been devastating if she lost Svarog and ended up alone or something. I freaking love that trope, any story that has something like this and executes it well is something I immediately know I will like, another anime example is Somali to mori no kamisama, an anime that's not very known and went under the radar for a lot of people, but it was and always will be one of my favorite anime of all time, unfortunately after the anime finished airing I found out the Manga was canceled right around the same point the anime got to, the authoress got some health issues and the fucking bastard of a publisher decided to cancel her Manga instead of letting her rest and continue her story, still makes me really angry whenever I think about it, meanwhile harem and isekai stories are getting pumped out by the dozens, it's so frustrating

@@SmashTheAdam Oh no I meant the other direction where Clara dies, in the beta Geomarrow used to cause super cancer and Clara was one of the characters who were suffering it, so she was pretty much guaranteed to die young.
