One aspect to be careful of is to make a new aluminum material BEFORE adding perforations. If the panel material is shared with the mullion material, it will link and you won't be able to undo the linked qualities. You can see at minute 13:54 the mullions are perforated because they were the same aluminum as the panel.
Your excellent video raises a question: Can this "2 part" wall assembly receive conventional windows and doors? I'm trying to replicate a conventional rainscreen wall assembly with interior finish, insulated stud cavity, WRB, exterior insulation, wood or metal rainscreen strapping, and an open joint panel. Using the curtain wall type 1 (empty panel) I can assign the wall type as above, but when I insert the mullions as the rainscreen panel "gaps", they go all the way through the walls (no good). This 2 part method might fix this but I'm not sure the doors or windows will cut through both parts of your wall. Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated. (Maybe you've created the video? I'm a recent patreon supporter but could not find an answer there) thanks!
Hi, is there a way to adjust this so that it will work within irregular shapes? such as a triangle or hexagon? I can only seem to get it to work with squares or rectangles and if its an odd shape it goes over the boundary
How do you get the panels to join after setting the offset of the mullions? I offset my mullions behind the panels, but there's still a vertical void between them, so the mullion is still revealed.
hi balkan , i just want to ask you if its possible to take a look how your project files look like ? in general i would be interested to join a patreon membership, because i want your project files but i dont know how they look like ;(
I apply this perforated facade design in revit, but when I throw it on the lumion, the shape version of the revitte in lumion goes away. so I can't see the perforated facade design. How can I fix
@@revitcourse Thx a lot, I will try it later and tell you if it works. But I think the lock and pin are not the same thing. Here's my situation I've put two windows, align them and lock them in place, then I couldn't unlock the one I want, when I click on the wall, it shows me only one lock for all the windows. So I found a solution, is that you click on the window and click on "Activate dimensions" and it work ^^
@@zakiklamson4409Pinning and locking are very different. When you lock an element you are assigning a constraint. I'm sure others will be along soon to add some extra help.
