Big 3 as students: JYP: good personality, kids next door type, is friends with everyone, the class clowns but still have good grades, everyone likes them. looks crazy on the outside, still crazier on the inside. YG: the cool rich kids, skips class everyday but still manages to pass, always wearing the most expensive things to school. Admired by everyone, looks cool on the outside, is very funny and chill on the inside. SM: old money kids, probably running the student council, always gets the top grades, have their own exclusive club, clean royalty vibe, respected by everyone, looks composed on the outside, but is actually very weird on the inside.
YG 🔥🔥🔥 I think their performances are meant for live audience, they focus on hyping the mood, freedom on stage, and moves that ppl can really follow and jam with
i still stand with YG artists. They have their own wave of doing things, they’re carefree and they always look like they’re having fun. No YG no party.
YG for me really bring out the best of them individually. Like they are able to show their own style without overpowering their other member. I really love their choreography since then. It always give them the chance to show how naturally FACIAL EXPRESSION, SWAG, STYLE and CLASS flow out of them. It isn't looked forced nor over acting. They didn't need to be so extravagant with their steps. They always left some part in the song where you can dance like you are in a party or something. This way, even though you don't know the whole steps, at least you have some parts where you can dance freely.
I think with group dance no one does better than sm group, their dance formations are so cool. YG artists are more about freedom to express themselves though
Yeah. After several groups, Jennie was showed and danced alone. Like, she stands out all by herself. I'm not a Jennie stan but she grabbed my attention.
@@LupinLupinLupin Jennie is the best YG artist to me. She is so perfect and the best if you consider every aspect and average them out together. She dances better than most YG artists, one of their top rappers, her facial expressions are #1 in YG, her dancing abilities are in the top tier category, her stage presence is up there (probably only 2nd to GD), and her visuals are unmatched by any idol in YG. It's insane how perfect she is. God has a favorite and her name is Jennie Kim.
SM moves is just different and the movement is so variations… making use all the space… and they don’t have tho make any sexy move to make the choreography beautiful…
they are good at hyping the crowd, but i wouldn't say they have good live vocals though. YG is weak at vocal training, something even long time big bang and 2ne1 fans would agree.
@@thechargingknightofamarapura I think they are the best at live vocals though because they mostly perform live with little backtrack. Those idols that have a flawless live performance are probably lipsyncing with a few exceptions. But YG vocalists are definitely the best for me. Rosé, Yedam, Taeyang, Suhyun, Bom, Seungyoon and Jinhwan and even some of the lead vocalists have amazing voices. You should check out their fancams. You will fall in love.
@@rakizta0605 yeah delusional ones definitely will. but you would find very few bjs nowadays saying bom is the best singer out there. her vocals got ruined by yg because they forced her to sing unnaturally... there is even a video about it.
YG have great dancers but they don’t focus too much on synchronicity esp during live performances which I really love. Doing the same synchronized, almost robotic dance moves in every performance tend to get boring over time. I love how YG artists stick to the choreo but still show their individualities and most importantly never forgets to connect to the fans. That is what’s important in a live performance for me. Their stage presence is so palpable and it’s not just an illusion. Just shows how confident they are.
@D S but bigbang/YG do more than SM did, create mini album, solo project while still in group, self produce songs, hair colour, lightstick, bring rap to kpop because of 1TYM and jinusean.
JYP for me. They all had good dances but JYP choreographies seems to always go with the song and seem to be more memorable. Like JYP is known for their catchy choreographies. Also honorable mention to WG and their iconic choreographies.
I think there's a certain...aura that the SM group emit that make their performances stand out. I cannot explain why. Also we all know in terms of creativity, being blueprints, and being experimental it's always SM that's creating trends. There's a reason they're still standing to this day lol. Not to mention all of the best vocalists are in SM. They're really good at picking out talent.
To be honest, they know how to make the group dance like a team, even when the center is dancing, the others members will still be dancing with them, like everyone is so involved in the dancing,no dull moments
mhm and if we’re just looking at the surface level stuff sm idols i think arent all just skinny or scrawny which adds to the joy of watching them perform if u get what i mean
I agree with everyone that says SM artists has a different aura that can't explain. The kind of class that you can always find on SM artists. One example is if someone is rich they don't brag or pretend to be one but the other person who looks at them feels that aura without them bragging or pretending to be one. The kind of aura or class that just comes out naturally. Everytime I look at SM artists they look just neat, plain and simple but the aura is really different from the rest.
ikon actually did guesting at knowing brothers including seungri but OFC k-media won't allow it. so unfortunately it's not included (bcos b.i. and seungri are there)
@@randomthing4639 bruhhh look at the concepts today, mostly were done by SNSD. And the name itself, Girls’ Generation, with the number of girl groups debuting and alive today. 🫣
SM idols are just on another level for me. They have something about them that other agencies can never do. Not hate to others just saying that I prefer SM
The only other group that has that SM vibe is the girl group loona. If I didn't know about them and someone said they are from SM I would believe them. SM artists have this aura and charm you can't find in any other company. It makes them stand out among all of the other artists. (lee Sooman, the creator and founder of SM and Kpop as worked with loona twice before, it was their # and 12:00 albums)
It's always SM for me.. sunbaes are always the standard.. Vocals technicality (I just love how colorful their vocals are but blended at the same time) stage presence, concepts, individuality as a group.. it's always SM.. And we can't deny the fact that SNSD are the standards of any girl group. Don't know bout the boys tho, I'm not into them
Suju KRY Their vocal technique, the way they belt highnotes and harmonize well. The best even if they do it in acapella😂👑🔥 You'll think if only this is the way idols were trained they won't be afraid holding the mic and sing live.😂lol
For me the term idol really suits the artists of SM. Dont get me wrong, its just like most of songs nowadays are western inspired. Kinda hard to pinpoint what exactly it is, but you can still hear the kpop genre from sm releases. I say this because ive been listening kpop for a long time.
YG IS SO MUCH OF MY STYLE. I LOVE HOW THEIR INDIVIDUALITIES STILL SHINE. I LOVE THEIR FREEDOM TO EXPRESS THEIR PERSONALITIES WITH SO MUCH CHARISMA AND SWAG.
SM idols perform with a pleasing aura that you can't really tell exactly what it is, but there's something so classy and charismatic about them as a group.
@@Yaqin05 I'm not talking abt 1 person in particular, I know Lisa is one of the best famale dancers in kpop, I'm talking abt the company overall, they're just not focused on dancing
Sm family wins👑🥇💗💗💗💗💗akhkhh SNSD & EXO especially the legends👑 even saw SUJU and other biggest groups they're still in the lead really cool and performing their old catchy best successful songs just so amazing🔥🔥🔥 BTw here for SNSD after seeing yesterday the teaser😭😭😭😭so freaking happy for my first kpop group that introduced it for me and as a SONE I'm just in an unenviable position😍😍😍 happy 15th anniversary for us and forever 1 4ever GG, 4ever THE ONLY NATIONAL GIRLS AND THE LEGENDARY GIRLS👑
SM group choreographies seem to be more complex and big, but for some reason, I enjoyed watching JYP group performances. They seem to have a confidence and enjoy performing the song, especially ITZY. Their expressions are so vivid and eye catching, never a bored or tired face!
I'm an SM Stan and I will always agree that Itzy is a dancing machine group. They do not sing well, but their dances slay. Especially Mafia in the Morning, that choreo is fire. That said NCT and Shinee from SM are a close second in this compilation. However SM has out together some of the most complicated choreos in Kpop and their artists deliver hard (Taemin, Seulgi, and Irene have had some of the most complex choreos imo). They are just not shown here. More&More is not either, so we don't really get to see Twice at their peak either. YG is great for live rapping and live audiences but not amazing for choreo.
No doubt SM is the standard and the superior one. Just watching this made me realized that all their groups songs and dance choreography really made an impact. It's hard not to mention SM when someone says KPOP for they created lots of iconic songs, dance choreo and groups.
@@fajarhasmoro3742 i'm talking about overall stages and performances of their groups under that agency. They set a high standard the only agency which has different concepts and genres to offer. From complex dance choreography and vocals.
@@LupinLupinLupin even in that case as well..the fact remains unchanged that the standards of concepts and performances of sm artists have been unmatched till date lol
JYP idols seem kind, friendly and really enjoy being on stage, you can see it in their eyes. Also their dancing skills are simply the best 10/10. Winner amd Wendy have vibes of JYP idols for some reason, likable and having fun while performing!
Wendy did not look like the most polished dancer but OMG she was so fun to watch!! She looked like she was having a blast and really enjoys performing. The amount of energy she brings! She comes off very friendly and endearing, such a star 💫 🤩
Wendy is a TREMENDOUS live performer and her dancing (of all things) has drastically improved over the years. Wendy of course also destroys in live singing. I would love to see a Wendy/Seulgi subunits, since SM seems determined to never give us a Seulo.
yeah, their charm, especially their member is really sync really match with their easy listening song. every member has their outstanding personalities and unique. Their dance move is clean and eye catching. For me I love itzy so much and 2PM hands up
You know what's amazing with SM.. there is at least 1 song from each group that the most of the country danced to(i can't say 'entire' coz that'd be impossible for any group).. i'll start with SJ- Sorry Sorry, SNSD- Genie, SHINee- Ring Ding Dong, EXO - Growl, NCT - Boss, Kick It, Aespa - Next Level
SM groups dancing skills is at the top tier. The charisma, execution, body control, movements, facial expressions, and CHOREOGRAPHY is WOW. An all-rounder ended💅
When it comes to Dance (GG) My pov 1. YG = Lisa/Rose 2. SM = Suelgi/Hyoyeon 3. JYP = Momo/Yeji/chaeryeong/Ryujin *_Stage Presence_* 1. YG = Jennie 2. SM = Wendy 3. JYP= Jihyo All of them are good but these are my pick. (No hate) 😇🤗
I agree with Jennie! Gosh she danced solo in this clip yet she can conquer anyone's attention. This is coming from a Lisa stan. Her charisma is overflowing.
Idols are singers and I will always pick SM. Until now I am still amaze on how some of their group turned their concert into musicals the way they sing live, harmonize and belt highnotes was insane. SM is the best.
My top favorite are from Sm and YG the problem with SM is that their senior are a wall hard to be hit really by their 4th and 5th gen as for YG they are all standing out with their differences and I love love it
I realized I know all and stan all of JYP artists in this video. So I guess I'm a JYPE nation stan.. haha They're like the friendly bunch of people I'd want to hang out with. Of couse, I also listen to SM music specifically RV.
@@nunya759 old but gold. Super junior is already 18 yrs in game despite of their individual busy schedules they can still afford to have multiple comebacks each yr and still doing world tours. Super Junior created huge impact in kpop for them to have this longevity and stability in their careers. We can say they are kings for they created impact and can compete, survive despite on how time and trend changes😂still here and still strong as a group. They got low mv views, streams and all😂 but they are just enjoying impact they created in kpop and their organic success cause kpop is business😂they ain't have hype as what others have in 3rd and 4th gen LOL but to have stability and longevity which also need to have organic success😂
Look at yg artists, u can ltrly notice every member because they have individual different styles, not to mention their distinct voices as well wherein youll recognize immediately whos singing😌
Even if we compare them, each group still has its own style, and I love it! I love how cool and chill the 2nd and 3rd gen of kpop are. haaay I love those eras
From my observation: JYP is structured and follow the lyrics and telling story (swim = swim choreo, heartbeat = heartbeat choreo) YG is chill and half follow lyrics and half vibing SM is structured and doesn't follow the lyrics; focus more on having the choreo matching to the beats and music
Yg artist feel free on the stage. They feel their music and move their bodies with the flow of music. They are not much concerned about proper chereography. They have chill vibes that are perfect for concert and interacting with fans 🖤
We have different identities with each company. Jype presents nice synchro, great dance breaks, funky groove, aesthetic idols who could be your friends too. Yg idols are so hip hop vibes in general when they dance and sing/rap. The hip hop essence represents yg as a whole group or individually. In SM we have so many great vocalists in the idol industry. Their choreos need to be so clean always, no matter what. So classy in that way...
I can’t choose between 3 company. They have different style and vibe For JYPE I always like 2PM since their debut. 2PM always nailed sexy concept These day I also like ITZY and StrayKidz. Actually in terms of vocal their band like DAY6 and XH have a really unique style For YG I like BigBang, and Winner. They have YOLO vibes. I like how free they are For SM I like SHINee, I’m not stanning many SM group cause they are so big. I don’t really like group with many member. Six is my limit. I know SM vocal is really good
it's always about being your own form of artist for me, that freedom of expression, the variety of performances, not just following the choreos and looking the same in every performance. happy vibes all the way. YG >>> SM >>> JYP
For boy groups, choreography of SM>>> JYP>YG. For girl groups, choreography of SM=JYP>>>YG. In vocals, it is not even a competition. SM all the way. When was the last time JYP or YG idols were called OST King or Queen? Meanwhile, SM has an army of strong idol vocalists: Taeyeon, Baekhyun, Chen, Kyuhyun, Wendy, Taeil, Ning Ning, and the late Jonghyun :( In performance, JYP>YG=SM For stage presence, YG>>JYP>SM. This is because YG songs emphasize swag and power, so it gives off the illusion that their artists have better stage performance. In concept creativity, SM hands down. Aespa is the living proof. JYP still sticks to cute or sexy concepts. YG never retires their girl crush concepts. I seriously wish they would try something new.
personally, I don't think YG's songs gave "illusion" of great stage presence. I think their stage presence actually come from YG's emphasis on individuality. it is quite rare to see any YG group to wear same outfits onstage (tho it's a delight to see when they do). even in this video, BP members' uniforms are different from each other. since JYP & SM focused more on perfect choreographies, sometimes individuality might not shine through unless there's a part in the song that would give a specific member a spotlight (eg: Momo's dance break in Ooh Ahh)
@@manhoeban Seems like BP's pink side died a long time ago and it's always the black side. I miss their pink side so much. Wish they would do something like AIIYL.
