I was listening (only) while I marked a pile of grade 6 maths exams. Watched and seen lots of versions but never heard this production before. Loved it from beginning to end and all of the added humourous twists. When I've finished marking, I'm going to watch it as well.
Bravo everyone from the production...This is the best production I have seen after the original .. The Narrator your voice is superb , Joseph wow wow wow Bravo and Pharoah Great job a little more of Elvis would be great the next time...Overall fantastic lovely Marvellous
I absolutely loved this!! This is the best version I've ever seen. I liked it SOOO much better than the original. Thank you for putting this on RU-vid. You are an incredibly talented bunch.
I have to say, I've watched this (well, had it on as background music) many times over the past year and it's been thoroughly enjoyed. I remember it well, in its original form, from school, in England, in the early 1970s. Marvellous.
The fact that the name of this implies an “amazing technicolor dreamcoat” seems to have been lost and interpreted as an “underwhelming brownish mono tone coat with coloured skirting”
Tell me you did not actually watch and listen without actually telling me you didn't watch and listen... The coat is ripped off him, covered in goat blood, taken by his brother's who then sold him into slavery.
A wonderful production...the entire ensemble should be incredibly proud...other than jacob....he was a bit ropey.....i would fly over and pay good money to see this show live. if any of the cast read this then please pass on my love to you all. Special appreciation to the narrator Staci Jackson....you area born star.....bless all of you. BRAVO.....You all would make ALW and Tim Rice so very proud xx
Well...this WASN'T a high school production. It was a regional theatre production in Denver. Like the "Megamix" (curtain call dance music), the "Trip to Egypt" with the several "Poor, Poor, Joseph" reprises is an add-on to the basic show. So, it was a choice of the director as a humorous way to show Joseph's journey to Egypt. The "Megamix" may now be included when purchasing rights to perform the show.
Robert Hubbard Hi, actually my highs school did this same show 2 times the first time they had the remix. the second time they did not. all together is a great musical to perform.
Pretty darn good for a yank rendition. But doesn't matter whether it's yank or Commonwealth Joseph is our Father. And his vision is our inheritance. So it doesn't matter if your Manasseh (The US) or Ephraim (The Commonwealth.) Joseph is our Father. The reunion with Jacob and Joseph brought years to my eyes.
Apart from The accents.. in the first minute, It's on par, if not better, than the West end version.. I should know.. worked on it. If I was to make to make any notes, needs to sound a bit fuller. All a bit 'Tinny'.. but astounding..
I wanted to like this performance of this play but unfortunately I am not a fan of this one. This one is way too modernized, what's with the overalls? I'm sure Joseph's brothers weren't all running around looking like Mario and Luigi back in their time. There is another highschool that did a much better job than this one. I will give this school credit where credit is due for trying but it doesn't come close to being anywhere near the 1999 version that Donny Osmond famously starred in.
@@jean-paulhoulette739 you were great bud. staci jackson was amazing and you were fun to watch. one of my favorite versions of this. wish I could have seen live. brothers were fun. I especially liked the benjamin calypso singer.
I went to see Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at art park with my mom and dad also with my uncle from this musical is my favorite musical because I went to see it live at art park
@@jean-paulhoulette739 You did a great job. It's really difficult to have Donny Osmand as your yard stick measure. I have been in "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Mame" and I know the hours of hard work you put in to make this wonderful show come to life. "Joseph" is one of my favorite shows and I thoroughly enjoyed your rendition of it. Like artist Bob Ross used to say, "don't simple copy what I paint, but go and put your own spin on your own painting." Same is true for this.
The instrumental is rushed a bit so, the vocals sound like they are chasing Otto bad it could have been very good but they made to a train wreck by rushing. Vocals muddy ! 😖😖
I don't know what you were watching, but I am a professional vocal coach, and i thought Joseph's voice was phenomenal! Overall, I found this production very entertaining,
