This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In this beautiful performance, students of the San Diego School of Ballet delight the audience with their whimsical, playful and elegant approach to the theme Chain Reaction, interacting on both a physical and emotional level.
The San Diego School of Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program educates some of the most talented young dancers aged 13-16 and offers them an opportunity to express themselves through dance. Many of its graduates have gone on to dance professionally with American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Houston Ballet and many other famous domestic and international ballet companies. Maxim Tchernychev is Ballet-master of the San Diego Ballet Company and the principal instructor at the San Diego School of Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

There were 9 girls from the studio, including the alternates, and we all worked really hard on this dance. We'd like to thank our teacher, Maxim Tchernychev, for the time and effort that was put in to make this piece possible. Thank you! :)
