Was waiting for this, Jeff! Thank you so much! Yes, Taeyong had a hand in EVERYTHING to the extent that he even got his own logo on the album. He not only wrote and composed ALL of the songs on the album, but he also had a direct hand in the planning and production. This album is a very prepared and personal art! PLEASE check out the b-sides because there is a lot of diversity, and it really shows some of his range as an artist! The teasers themselves were art. I recommend the "Choose T or Y Track Film" before you listen to the b-sides. It's so cool, kind of like a choose your own adventure to exploring the tracks. Also, I recommend a video called "Definition of Taeyong" in which he goes through and explains his inspiration for each song. Hard to choose, but my favorite song is probably "404 File Not Found." So good! I'll be here for any Taeyong reaction, but even if you don't react, please check it out on your own! Brief MV explanation: Taeyong hacks the multiverse, sending different versions of himself to the wrong time period. The message is that you can shine wherever you are (whatever your circumstances). The MV, the song, and the choreo all have so many easter eggs! There are a lot of fun references! I also recommend the Studio Choom. So cool and pretty! YGX's Leejung and Riehata choreographed this, by the way. I think there aren't any idols who could pull off this choreo like Taeyong. It was literally made for him. There are also dance performances for two of the other songs "Gwando" and "Virtual Insanity" as well as a special video he filmed while in Thailand for "Gwando" (warning: lots of skin in this).

I am impressed with everything. Because there is no average in this project, his EP is top tier, so many sides, his input on every aspect is really smart, Including VOCALS (which I'm surprised because rap). What got me the most is that the single is GREAT as a rap song, those are a bit rare in the kpop world

I couldn’t agree more: “No-one raps like Taeyong. There’s such a creativeness in the way he flows.” Taeyoung is a breath of fresh air in whatever he creates or adds to. TVXQ's "City lights" (feat. Taeyoung) for example… Unbelievable quality! Unbelievable expression and freedom! Taeyong’s just one of a kind! And in addition to all that, he is also a very good-hearted, caring and humble person.

Thank you for your analysis, Jeff! You pointed out a lot of things that I hadn't really noticed, despite having watched all the music show performances that he did while promoting. Your point about how there's references to popular dance moves (I had only recognised the Macarena one) goes really well with the 'Shalala' MV multiverse theme! It's like a multiverse of famous dance moves in the choreo! I also have to add that I've been listening quite a bit to Taeyong's whole mini-album, and 'Shalala' is the one song that I feel can't stand on its own without the choreography and Taeyong's performance. I think this song and Taeyong's dance (and of course, Rie Hata and Lee Young's excellent choreography) has to exist together for it to be complete. The song enhances the dance and the dance certainly enhances the song. And I think that's kind of Taeyong for me: he has to be the whole thing with both performance and singing, otherwise there's something missing! Were you able to listen to the rest of Taeyong's mini, Jeff? If so, I'm curious which song appealed to you the most. I'm partial to 'Virtual Insanity' (which also has a fun choreography if you want to react to it) and 'Ruby', as well as '404 File Not Found' myself.
