Taemin in concert is able to convey such a great amount of energy to his public. When working out on the treadmill, I always watch his concert video and it boosts me a lot to increase my pace, while his smooth and emotion conveying voice allow me to breath more deeply in the recuperating phase as well. The cleanness of his moves is so pleasing. Want is definitely my fav because it is kind of rare to see him "loose" and so fluid while still maintaining his cleanness. He usually has more energetic and sharp moves.

If you do Taemin again, please PLEASE show him a few stages from the tilted stage series. It's a 35 degree slant. Heaven is such a fan favorite. Merv has seen countless performances but I think it'd be nice to show him that side of a performer and his team.

Love these vids Micah 😘 Oh yeah btw tell Merv that Taemin seems to prefer undercut hairstyle and almost always hv it ever since. The undercut hair will act as the layer which absorb all the sweat while still keeping the outer layer perfectly fluffy and bouncy. Taemin once also said that he loves having his hair dance with him so that he'd ask the stylist not to put much product on his hair. A great stylistic choice coz visually his dancing hair will help emphasizing his neck/head movements and creating much bigger impact/illusion of his dance

Obviously Taemin and Jungwoo look alike. What I've also noticed about both of them is that their hair moves with them when they dance. It's like magic. I need to know what products their stylists use to perform that kind of sorcery where their hair looks perfect yet has that kind of movement.

When I have a notification from you, Ik it will be good material. Seeing the comments from the professionals is very nice, in a way it's a validation that what we see as fans is not just a subjective illusion. Taemin is a great artist and deserves to be known by many more. While I was watching, I wondered what his recovery as a dancer will be like. I mean, he's enlisted and will go like 1 and a half years without dancing. What will he have to do to get back on track? Will he be able to reach his same level quickly? Hope he can do it in a healthy way.

Micah be out here promoting Taemin better than SM. 🤭 I feel like no one really takes the time to really appreciate just how much work you put into the genuine support, love, and exposure of k-pop. I used to be a dancer but due to a disability I’ve practically been in bed for the last 10 years. On a good day recently I thought I’d do some gentle exercise. I did some of Taemins move dance. The next morning I found the other 600 muscles I forgot I had!

You can tell Merv that while "Move" and "Want" are technically difficult due to how much Taemin has to control his body, they are not the strenuous, taxing types of dances Taemin is so very used to and doing x4 in a concert setting. For example, in SWC IV, SHINee opened with 4 high-octane performances while singing live as well. That meant almost 15 minutes of dancing while singing without any breaks whatsoever. All the SHINee members have STAMINA. With "Want", even Taemin said the beginning of the choreo is always different according to how he feels at that moment, much like most of his performances. He likes to infuse himself into his characters and music. This is why it is so difficult for other artists to cover his songs. Likewise with the clip of "Sexuality" you showed him from Taemin's very first concert in Budokan, Japan, that was song #4 in the lineup from the beginning of the concert. Prior to that, he performed "Danger", "Guess Who", "Tiger", took a quick, 3-minute break on stage to welcome the fans, then went straight into "Sexuality". Lastly, during SHINee's MMTG appearance, Taemin was the only member who said he was disappointed in the choreo for "View" because it didn't make him out of breath when dancing it. He intimated that he preferred to do a dance that requires more from him, and in that way, it was more meaningful to him because of the effort and challenge it involved. (I paraphrased this and the impression I got from what he was saying.) Have you shown him the dance practice and live performance for "Famous" yet? If not, I think that would be a treat for him, as well as more live performances from Taemin. I think you'll agree that there is a huge difference in intensity and energy when watching Taemin live. It's always a pleasure to watch one of your reactions and those of your friends, as well as seeing your enthusiasm for Taemin.
