I am a loud and proud perfume wearer BUT I'm in a lot of situations (church especially) where ppl frown on perfume so this is a needed category for that.
Oddly enough I wore IDKW for 3-4 times last month, and about 50% of that experiences someone came up to me asked what I wore. I’m in Bangkok Thailand. It’s year round hot & humid. It’s magically awaken in the heat.
My new girlfriend has a sensitive nose. Practically everything is too strong to her. Judging from the comments she made about all the scents I showed her, I knew that Silver Mountain Water would be a hit and wow was it. She loves that and says it’s “our scent.” Her next favorite is Afternoon Swim.
Maybe unrelated, but I can't wait for your review of Diptyques 5 new fragrances that came out today!! I ordered the sample set this morning. Excited to try.
I work in healthcare and have frequent migraines, but I love perfumes. Skin scents and close wearing musks are my favorites. Thanks for sharing more options!
I have Molecules 1 and 2 also Not a Perfume and Another 13 and love them all they are so versitile, peefect for in the gym bag, great for layering witb other fragrances, perfect for those intimate cuddling moments when you don't want to choke out the other person, and they are great to keep atomisers with you on hot summer days as a feshening spritz

I suffered w severe eczema most of my childhood so I was around zero fragrance or dyes. As an adult who lived a large part of my life w out fragrance, I do not like 95% of mainstream fragrances. Most of them smell the same to me. I have developed a deep appreciation for niche/indie fragrances & LOVE oud/animalic fragrance notes. W that said, my most complemented is Molecule 01. Once while shopping, I was stopped five times…I do not overspray. I almost felt I was being spoofed so many people stopped me lol. Love Molecule 01 ❤️
I'm nose blind to these molecular fragrances, I like my fragrance to announce my arrival! I do have some lighter, more polite scents for when I visit my very sensitive nosed friends and family though.
I love perfumes and the louder the better (except Followed -- that one has to be handled in Hazmat mode). But, there are times where being loud isn't smart. When I am in close quarters, or with people who have allergies, it would be good to have one of these. Phlur Missing Person and What We Do in Secret E appeal to me and I am putting them on my list. I would highly recommend The Muse ZARKOPERFUME, freshness and cleanliness in a bottle. Subtle but long lasting. 10/10. Et Voilà Teo Cabanel is a fantastic simple clean laundry scent with good longivity
Thank you for doing this Sebastian. I am somewhere in the middle between "body" scents and "loud" fragrances. I have a few that are "beasts", but I tend to wear them a bit more lightly. While I am an executive, I prefer to project "quiet strength" rather than "loud noise". And I want my perfume to project is in a similar way. BTW, I really don't care for the two Juliette fragrances - they smell very artificial to me. If ambroxan and the other synthetic molecules like it are blended carefully with other notes, they can be quite nice. But on their own they are very artificial to my nose.

This is the video I’ve been waiting for 😂 I love fragrance - but it does not love me. A lot of them “go funny” on my skin, IMO. I’m hot all the time (now that I’ve moved away from SF) so I feel like I get a lot of projection. My favs right now are Blanche Bette and Santal Basmati. I also wear St Honerie 215 and Rosario (House of Bo). IDKW smelled like rubber to me 😂 I love AnOther 13, but can’t bring myself to spend the $$. Ona different note, I’ve got a bottle of BabyCat on its way - so I’m very excited to see how it wears on me. Otherwise, someone will have a great gift!
I enjoy these types of perfumes but I am also a Gourmand fan and a Fresh clean fan. Loud fragrances not so much on me but on other people. On this list I own two Another 13 and Not a perfume but I’m interested in adding Paper to my collection. It reminds me of Maison Crivelli’s Papyrus.
Perfumes I have that I think fit this category are Xtra milk by DedCool and Amber fragrance oil by Nemat. Those are my go to when I don’t want anything too perfumey.
I love fragrances but my partners mother doesn’t lol. But it’s such a routine to apply a fragrance for me it would be nice to have something for me but won’t bother her. So this is a great video for those occasions.
I can't wear loud perfumes..migraines get triggered. I go between skin scents to mild. As long as I don't spray a lot, I am good. For skin scents I really like Diptique Fleur de Peu and L'eau papier
I love perfumes since I was a child 🧒 and i need them loud on me 😅also every day different one.But my Dad doesn’t like any,do those ones will be good for him 😊
I really like missing person. But that one like many others just gives me migraines. And I love perfumes, heavy perfumes as well. Always wear a little something everyday. But some of these newer ones have some chemicals in them that are just killing me
I Require my fragrances be “Beast Mode.” I live in Miami. Your fragrance due to the heat and humidity must be a screamer to last. When we do get a few cold days a year I break out the big guns: Kilian -Dark Lord, Kilian - Intoxicated, Bond No 9 - Dubai Platinum, LV - Hombre Nomad, Etc…
Lie you, I typically prefer big and beefy scents. However, I've come across a few samples and decants of some of the more "molecular" style scents that have actually surprised me. I really like. Elllis Iso Gamma Super as an alternative to Molecule 01 that I find to be a bit more potent. I've also been trying out DedCool Xtra Milk. It wears like a cool breeze up top but then it surrounds you with a clean ambery musk. I really want to try those What We Do Is Secret fragrances. They sound like they have some simple but interesting offerings.
Bal D Afrique , Byredo is a pretty clean, non offensive, non intrusive skin scent giving city vibes, easy to wear. For beastly projection, I layer it with Tom Ford Oud Minerale and the result of fulfilling and wonderful projection with decent trail.
I don't like to obliterate every life form with the shock wave of my fragrance, I like to perceive my fragrance and I'm not an over sprayer, I just can't be friends with someone that doesn't like perfume, unless it's a health issue... I just can't 😆 I like my nuclear scents, if I'm going to pay for a fragrance it needs to be strong and long lasting, I decide how much to apply according to the situation, it's common sense, but at least I have the choice, control freak? oh you bet 😉 Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!
Thank you, I have a very sensitive nose and most perfumes are too strong. Often times perfumes end up smelling very screechy to me, like insect repellent.
I so WANT to love intense scents, but anything that's even a little "perfumey" gives me a horrible headache and some even m make me queasy. My collection is full of soft vanillas, coffees, and other gourmands, which I love, but wish it could be a bit more diverse. I do have Not a Perfume and find it pleasing, if not super interesting.
I do like loud fragrances but some people around me don't.There's one peculiar thing I have noticed. Some expensive modern niche perfumes are unbearable for people who are sensitive to fragrances. But those same people never complain when I wear vintage fragrances that are just as loud. So I wonder if IFRA regulations haven't actually made life worse for people who are allergic or sensitive to fragrances.
Oh my partner, he’s a doctor and doesn’t want to smell offensive in close patient - doctor situation. I must say I have problem with some molecules, like Juliette has a gun not a perfume or je suis plus grand from D’Orsay- both fragrances smell to me just unbearable and very offensively harsh very unpleasantly chemical, like nail varnish or a harsh disinfecting agent. Not sure what’s to avoid. My partner liked them though and used completely different words to describe the smell 🥲. Do you think that my brain would adjust and I would start smell this the same way as most of the people or it’s just hopeless molecule for me 🙄
Good question, and the answer is no, they smell very different. Fwiw, my nose can't take Superdose at all, smells like alcohol cleaning wipes (although I like original Not A Perfume). I find Another 13 intoxicating
