Summer is here and I found my summer fragrance gem, Bergamotto di Calabria (La Spugnatura) by Acqua Di Parma. Such a bright, zesty, and energizing juice of Bergamotto... the yellow gold fruit from South of Italy, Calabria... A true homage to Italian artisanal fine perfume traditions. Are you playing Switch by Beckers in the background (Oliver Klein & Peter Jurgens remix)? Agree... excellent fragrance. Best bergamot on the market, no contest.

It's a masterpiece but i doesn't find it fresh at all despite of the string citrussy opening. Spicy woody notes makes it very contrasty in a lovely way (a real brother of Chinotto di Liguria and Ginepro di Sardegna). The decoration is not hand painted.

The essences of Acqua di Parma are of high quality, specifically their bergamot is very fresh and elegantly citrusy. Ideal for those who are neither male nor female. Oops... unisex.
