Hello Jackie, you did a great job describing these fragrances. I have heard some rave reviews about most of these niche favourites. I like to hear a variety of opinions on things before I sample because tastes can be so varied person to person. Some reviews have called Ivory Route a spicy Vanilla. I love the smell and taste of Basil, so I am curious about the combination. Leather notes are often too strong on my skin because they get amped up. The idea of Passion Fruit makes me curious about the Tony Iomi, but I have the feeling the leather would make it too masculine for me. I am not a lover of clean musks that smell like laundry soap. The Initio Musk Therapy smells like it has a touch of a vanilla note and it has some sweetness. It would be one of the only ones I have smelled that I might consider purchasing if it wasn't prohibitively expensive. I have noticed this musk smell in a number of the Initio fragrances and it's sister house Parfum de Marley. I feel the same way about coffee fragrances. Yes to Tony Iommi! Emy loves it so I ordered a sample and my son thought it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered him a full bottle as a gift and he was so thrilled. It really is an incredible scent and I know he is so happy to have it in his collection.

Xerjoff is a fantastic house and picking an absolute favorite, to a fragrance enthusiast, a near impossible task. However, amber star and star musk are amazing. This is a musk that projects and lingers but you’re going to pay for it!! Musk Therapy contrast, while I also find it divine, is a tea centered scent….and again, I’m not mad about it! You can also get it on Jomashop for $150 from time to time. Lately I’ve been delving into smaller houses--Aaron Terrence Hughes, Vivamor, Aromas de Salazar, etc. I’m a believer that great fragrances can come from anywhere and behind passion, some may also have talent. Loved the video! Less blind buying in 2023 and more sampling first for sure!

Ivory Route really is so addictive 😍 Awake is a very literal coffee fragrance and it does smell like one spilled coffee on themselves 😂🤣😅 I really appreciate the zestiness from the lemon note in it. Loved hearing your thoughts on all of these fragrances! ❤️😍🥰

I LOVE pairing Ivory route with gris charnel edp and bianco latte. Smells DEVINE!!! Smells like a spiced chai latte. A must try if you have the fragrances.

I want to start off to let you know that Lucky Scent had Initio perfume on sale at a big discount. Musk therapy is absolutely beautiful, as well as Paragon. One you might like to try is from Byron, Green Butterfly, which I know you don’t like green notes and neither do I but that blend is beautiful, as well as their Mula Mula.

Hi Jackie, I loved the video. I am probably one of the few that love Erba Pura. On my skin the fruits dominate and are very juicy in nature, not ripe at all. It’s a compliment getter for me.724 is very nice but it has no staying power on my skin, even with exfoliation and moisturizing. I love Musk Therapy, a very unique perfume. Thameens Peregrina is divine. My favorite in this list. I just tried Jus Box Sirens and Sailors. Have you tried it and if so do you like it. I’ve discovered ambergris is not a note that I enjoy in my scent profile, it’s so sweet and cloying. I couldn’t wait to get it off my skin! Ivory Route is another favorite of mine as well. After listening to your assessment of Tommi Iomme ( I think I spelled this wrong) I think I will pass on this. Again, really enjoyed your thoughts!

Awake is a great layering fragrance. Awake layered with Vanilla Woods is perfection!

Ivory Route is awesome. I get a lot of vanilla from mine. Nishane Ani is another dark sexy vanilla imo.

New subbie here! I actually blind bought Initio's new one "Paragon" and Thameen's "Blue Heart". I LOVE THEM BOTH! Paragon is herbal, fruity, sandalwood & gorgeous despite me having a short tolerance for herbal. Blue Heart is beautiful & during the summer I had to stop myself from wearing it as I received compliments every time! I'm a blind buy pro at this point however I want to test a little more this year as I live in the D.C. area & can go find the majority of these fragrances. I also buy expensive fragrances from Selfridges and Harrods as they are so much cheaper & Selfridges has a program where you pay $50 for shipping for the year! The new Tom Ford "Smoked Cherry" is $285 so I'm waiting for them to get "Electric Cherry" to buy both!

Have you tried Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir Rose? Great musk but not harsh with a fruity rose and vanilla!!! A must have!

I love Musk Therapy, but not at full retail price. Lol I love Xerjoff fragrances, and most of mine are successful blind buys. I just got La Capitale, but that one I knew I better test first before buying. Leather is not a love for me, so I have to be careful with that note. La Capitale is amazing. I want to try Ivory Route & K’Bridge Club (no blind buying those). You gotta get your nose on Starlight. 😊

Oh, I also love Musk Therapy, but more on females … that’s why I gifted it to my wife … but I also wear it every now & then. Such a feel-good scent. And Xerjoff is one of my favorite brands. Naxos was my first Xerjoff love. Recently bought a bottle of Torino 21. Great in warmer months and to the office. And I didn’t like Erba Pura either. Just too much for my nose. Too fruity, almost rotten fruits as you said. As I love boozy & smoky scents, I recently ordered a Toni Iommi sample. Looking forward. 🤨 All the best, from Germany.

Did you try Akro Dark? Wow, that one is just gorgeous if you love dark chocolate but don't want sickly sweet. Really unisex, I'd love to smell it on a man too, grrr! 😋

So fun hearing your thoughts on these fragrances! 😊 Erba Pura was a huge no for me too. It’s a super loud, fruity molecular scent and I agree it smells like a hot mess! 😝 I don’t even like touching my sample because if any of the juice gets on my fingers, the smell will stay on my skin all day 😫

Tony Iommi and Ivory Route are both masterpieces in my opinion. I think both are quite masculine though.

I just looked on lucky scent and it is only on a couple of Initio scents.

I don't like Erba Pura either. It's too much of everything like Kayali's Invite Only, although they're two totally different types of fragrance. It's unrefined, flashy, and loud, for people who are exactly that. Many compare this to God of Fire, but GoF is truly amazing: smooth, like olfactory therapy with all those wonderful fruity notes deepened with the wood and oud. Too bad it's winter still, but come summer I will be wearing this a lot!

Amber Oud Gold Edition Al Haramain Perfumes is 1:1 Erba Pura dupe and defo can justify the money for those who like EP

LOL erba pura, I tried the dupe, it wasn't for me, in fact the drydown was sickening. It put me off trying erba pura. I am guessing my opinion would be similar to yours with it.

You shouldn't judge a fragrance like Ivory Route based on paper. It needs to be on skin.And it's one terrific fragrance. The dry-down is fabulous. I get no tobacco, but I sure get an herbal vanilla. Ivory Route is something of a bargain too, compared with other offerings in the Xejoff lineup. My other favourite, Richwood is more than twice the price of IR. Fragrance is a lot like wine in this man's opinion - the secret is finding the bargains. Any fool can spend a lot of money on things like Creed and Fragrance du Bois. I highly recommend a good look at Guerlain, who offer some terrific scents at reasonable prices. Heritage and Terracotta spring to mind. Both can be had in 100 ml. bottles for around a C-note.

I’ve been trying so many coffee perfumes lately and I have found as well that I don’t want to smell like burnt beans lol 😂 my favorite still remains…. Black Opium extreme ❤️

BTW if you like underlying tobacco you should check out NAXOS

Please get your nose on Mont Blanc Signature. It's very, very similar to Musk Therapie and so much cheaper

Xerjoff is really overrated for me. Every time I smell one I'm like "oh I've smelled this before, what is it." And there's always a strong correlation to something else I've smelled. Especially in the dry downs. Good though their fragrances are soooo expensive.

Ivory Route is a big no for me.
