Reviewing 'Aoud' and 'Aoud Crystal Parfum' from Roja Parfums www.aaronteren... Instagram - AaronTerenceHughes #FragranceReview #AaronTerenceHughes Music: Sleepdebt - I C U
Im sure they use real, expensive ingredients but regardless the markup on these are way to large. Makes you really appreciate people like Aaron who are completely transparent with their expensive ingredients and price their products accordingly.
Some are worth the price, some are not. A goodnight kiss, which is well over 1,000 usd is totally worth it for the finest orris in generous quantity I have ever smelled. The AUODs to be honest are worth it if you like the other ingredients that make the composition, otherwise, you can just get a middle eastern Aoud. Amber aoud has a stunning rose in it which makes it worth the price to me.
i think Roja parfumes are crazy overpriced. For me they even does not cost a half what its priced. Instead of making better longevity and drop the prices they doubled up them. Its something crazy. Pure marketing
@@Noga128the cap alone costs more than that , there are about 80% naturals in Roja s fragrances and that shows in the price, in addition the bottles which are of a incredibly high quality. Please show me where and how you can produce these Fragrances for 20$. To you it might not be worth the price, but for a lot of other people it is.
Not gonna mark it... love the ATH fragrances, and love it when ATH takes no prisoners, independent perfumery and opinion, all day every day. Works for me. One Love.
Still have 50ml from 2020. If there ever was a legit, authentic, properly dosed, quality Oud, it's ATH for sure! That sucker lasts for days and smells deep and rich, and the price was super reasonable. Boss Bitch is another oud/rose/sandalwood masterpiece!
Aaron is a true gentleman.Eventhough i can imagine what was going in his head,he decided to not be negative and not mark it. I guess the formulation is too simple, uninspiring and cheap for the price charged.
Thank you for the review as always! I'm excited to try this eventually, I've smelled the Amber oud one that they had in the sample box and it was pretty good. Thanks as always and congrats on 95.6 k!
I’m not a fan of Roja. Bought a bottle and thought it fit one area of my life which I don’t do very often so I gave it to a buddy that loved it. You have every right to be an oud snob your stuff is rather good
We need another video with your favourite fragrances at the moment Sir 😉 an update. You smell so much fragrances would be difficult for you, but it is very interesting for us that following you.
Interesting how you mention ethyl maltol. I swear in one of rojas videos he said that he doesn't enjoy ethyl maltol. I never tested those fragrances out but im sure it is detectable in small amounts
Did you reference P- Chem?! You just made me have a flashback. Loved organic chemistry! HATED physical chemistry! Thank God I don't have to use quantum mechanics anymore!
I have amber aoud crystal and musk aoud crystal. They are both pretty amazing but the musk aoud is so much more versatile. The straight aoud never sounded that appealing.
I should have watched your review before blind buying crystal aoud. Waste of money . Pour quality fragrance. Will not even make it to designer. I’m done with this house!
Roja explained in a video how he achieved the clear essence of the "Crystal Aoud," and Aaron nailed it in his first example. It fractionally altered to isolate certain aspects of the scent and color. Always appreciate ATH reviews. I own 13 frags from his 2020 era of work, many sold out and discontinued, and they're an essential part of my collection.
I was completely appalled at the near €800 for such a small amount of juice. I get that it’s excellent quality but I’m almost certain most of that darkness is artificially added coloring agents which will end up staining clothes. I sprayed it on wrist in a shop so I could scrub it off in case it wasn’t to my liking, and it left a yellow spot on a white shopping bag in just a few light accidental swipes. It’s a very wearable oud for sure, but not at that price.
Imo, Roja is masterful at blending the scents, they typically perform poorly and the value ends up embarrassing. Simultaneously, Roja has hard-hitters that are nearing nuclear and offer unique profiles even in 2023. I think overall Roja is THE brand for the hardcore/rich casual crowd - rookies will go to Marly and Creed, those with deep pockets will get themselves a Roja. Is it worth it? In some cases, sure; but largely no.
I agree with what you said about people buying it because they know it's expensive, they buy it just to say they have it. I think Roja Dove creates good fragrances but he absolutely takes the piss with the price and it really isn't worth it.
Roja is pretentious and sadly I even think the owner is a bit pretentious aswell. The prices are bonkers and not affordable at all and I thought creed was over priced!.
@@SR009s That wasn't the whole point I was making it is more of a annyonce of the silly prices some fragrance companies charge. I feel it is mostly about prentiousness and bs marketing with unicorn crap or whatever. Obviously it is my opinion and you can have your own views on it and disagree with me.
It's also crazy how many people think roja is the actual perfumer, he's the brand not the perfumer same with Tom ford etc. At least Frederick malle is humble enough to put the perfumers name on the bottle out of respect
Any hater of aaron that says he doesn't know what he is talking about please people get them to watch this video, anyone who has smelled aarons range knows that man is talented
I went to a shop that sells Roja fragrances in Singapore and for that price tag, i am not impressed. I like the way u breakdown the notes and construction in your videos, niche RU-vid content. I would suggest Sohan from Penhaligon for a review. See u in the next video Aaron !!
