Reviewing the Parfum version of Grey Vetiver from Tom Ford. www.aaronterencehughes.co.uk Instagram - AaronTerenceHughes #AaronTerenceHughes Music: Sleepdebt - I C U
Understandable. Nevertheless, you can't beat the longevity of the new release. Sure the older versions show more freshness and a bit more complexity. But for the price (approx. 140-170 € / 100ml here in Germany) I would choose the parfum. In this light, the others are just not worth it.
I have the EDP Grey Vetiver. It’s a lot fresher than the Parfum. However I love all Vetiver. A work colleague wears this and it smells gorgeous in the air. One for the Vetiver fans.
I agree 💯. I also have the EDP and i tested the par in store EDP is the absolute best . If you love fragrances in the same style Bois Imperial by Essentiel Parfum is a great one. Fresh and woody like Grey Vetiver EDP but a little more projecting 👍
you’ve been a big part in my fragrance journey and i wanted to thank you. your videos are very addicting and watching you analyze fragrance inspires me, you’re a genius
Really appreciate your reviews. I rate your opinions above anyone else in the field. Please do a Babycat review. I love it but can’t help feeling it’s super feminine, I’d love your take
I am perfumery enthusiast, I learn perfumery at home and I love vetiver very much. From raw materials I have only vetiveryl acetate at home that owns some facets of complex natural vetiver olfactive profile. Dry, dark, woody, with smoky quality, but simple. Interesting and pleasant. I think, TF Grey Vetiver Parfum is brilliant. Not many Estée Lauder releases really make sense nowadays, in my opinion.
Got this as a tester and this fragrance made me realise I really don't like vetiver. Slowly getting aquinted with what I like and what I dont like in terms of ingredients. This channel is helping me a lot with that! Keep it up Aaron :)
Hey Aaron!🦄 Can you do nishane nefs review in the near future please? I would love to know if this reflects the price with naturals including oud or if this is a synthetic concoction that smells out of this world!
Hello Aaron, I have fell in love with you and your work because I sense that you are genuine, kind, and passionate about your work. When you get the chance will you review Daniel Josier fragrances? There is not much if any hype around his fragrances but the ones I have smelled so far I think are really good. I would love to hear your personal and professional opinion. Much love to you Aaron. Very respectfully, Monroe
Hey Aaron, i love your work. Im loking for your oppinion :) Which one would you choose for a summer wedding (36 male) Naxos or Layton exclusif? :) thank you for your advice!
Hi Aaron, can you do some of the Merchant of Venice? I’ve been interested in these for a while now from Harrods but haven’t pulled the pin on any yet? Many thanks
Aaron in the same genre you need to try Bois Imperial 🌿 by Essentiel Parfum for me if is the perfect combination between Grey Vetiver EDP and Ganymede by Marc Antoine Barrois 👍
I was gifted Ralph's Club EDP with 3 notes lavender, clary sage, and vetiver. I like it. And sometimes I do find it quite unpalatable. When I first got it, and used it it was a delicate, sweet, and almost shower gel like scent. But I gues it macerated over a short few months, and now it is a completely different animal. When I use it, it vibrates away the lavender and clary sage notes, and then ot becomes extremely citrusy, dry, woody, and earthy (vetiver). I have no idea how citrus scents even developed in it. A very masculine scent. Which sometimes it does become over bearing. I personally prefer fragrances with ethyl malthol whipping through the base, ambers, vanilla, and Ambroxan. And black currant notes in blue fragrances. I don't know what to think about Ralph's Club EDP; I like it, and sometimes I don't.
Who loves vetiver would like more and this is it .... Tried it past week....fell in love..i do have the OG...i like this more..... For vetiver lovers only....i am saying that because my wife likes classics where vetiver is almost always there in different concentration....she didn't like this one, though she accepts the OG, the guerlains, the Roja one...and many old vintage classics i have but not this one So for vetiver lovers who ask for more....only
I love this one and use it as a signature scent, ONLY in the summer however. In the cold weather its too smokey, bitter and the notes clash too much imo.
I like the edt and edp I dislike this new version as I’m not a lover of saffron. For me the edt is the best although it’s a bit fleeting. Glad I read the tea leaves and got a back up bottle when it was still around
"gray vetiver" is such a weird naming. Vetiver is meant to be vibrant, green, lush, alive; "gray" is not alive, gray is what you'd associate with bloated remains and c**pses. This fragrance name should be used to something that smells like a bog, like death and zombies and crypts.
What the words "vetiver" and "gray" mean is entirely dependant on personal experiences and opinions. To me, vetiver is a dry brown color that makes me think of a nice and quiet autumn sunset in the countryside. Gray is the neutral, mechanized, impersonal monotony of everyday life, it makes me think of huge, modern office buildings, handshakes, and small talk about the weather.
what is this guy yapping about sillage and performance not better than the EDT? Also I feel like the blend is pretty good This is actually pretty slept on. I quite like it for the colder seasons. Reminds me of ganymede in a way
