The knowledge he passes on to us is something we don’t get with our perfumers or reviewers! Absolutely intoxicating to listen to his reviews. Thank you Aaron 🤩
Agree 💯 especially since I work with perfumers at my company. Aaron breaks down each ingredient and how they all work together! I have the greatest respect for Aaron!
Great review as always Aaron! Really like this one, super easy to wear! I'm into Calone fragances, all of these aquatic ones like the Aqva line from Bvlgari and so on.
I like it. It’s a nice scent for summer. It performs better than most summer scents. It has this base that lasts long after the citrus tones disappear.
Lovely review, Aaron! Light Blue Eau Intense was my first proper designer I bought for myself, and still remains my favorite marine/oceanic blue fragrance. It’s the perfect combination of body chemistry compatibility, likability, and superb longevity for me, and interestingly enough, garnered more compliments from strangers than any other fragrance I’ve ever bought.
It really is gorgeous. I remember telling my husband to buy this one over Sauvage one time when we were shopping at the mall. It's so much better to my nose.
This is my #1 go to fragrance in FL. Best scent for the weather here for many settings I’m in. Lasts long enough for what I need it to, vibrant scent that can set a good mood. I used it while merchandising for Coca Cola back in 2020, still use it in the office working enterprise IT today. Great scent right after a shower, great workout fragrance, lounging around gaming, cleaning my apartment, Just all around an amazing fragrance for me personally. My other go to is the regular Invictus as it matches the weather here too but just a tad bit heavier and smooth instead of the sharp brightness of Light blue intense. Great review as per usual Aaron 🙏
I just wanna say that you are one of the very very few content creators who has audio nailed down to a science, it was a pleasure listening to the video and extremely well edited
@@lx4589 for me it’s nice, nothing insane but I would say 5-6 sprays will get you 6-7 hours longevity and moderate projection, goes more of a skin scent I feel after about 4 hours-
Probably the best performing freshie in my collection. Safe and appealing to many people. It’s my signature scent. My skin sucks but this turns into magic once my body temperature increases from walking.
This scent is amazing projection for me is 3ft 8 hours smells like the ocean to me it's so enjoyable sometimes I wear it in the winter. It really does last all day on me
A fragrance that I own and like to wear during Spring/Summer. Amazon themselves have previously sold the 100ml bottle for under £45. 😮 Thank you Aaron.
I have the Intense and OG. Something about these just pull me back in every time. They aren’t overly powerful or citrus bombs. I love it. I rotate these and Aqua Di Gio Profondo.
My all time favourite. I sometimes have to put it away after prolonged wearing because I get nose blind to it so I hide for about a month and go back to it and enjoy it all over again.
For very high heat, this is one of my favs to use.... it's one of the few that holds up in high heat/high humidity... I also really love Xerjoff Nio for same situation... but this I especially like when i go to the beach or go out fishing or I'm on vacation in the type of environment I described,... also a bit of a classic that is heavily underrated - really like the drydown for high heat - Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme.... the opening is a little harsh/rough but then the drydown is really pleasant... fresh citrusy... good for the heat. Something I've always liked. I'm married now, so i don't "live for compliments" but it's still nice to get them, and it got me one... i was pretty shocked, because the woman looked like she was in her 20s... made me wear it a bit more often lol
i ve been watching your videos a long time and i liked them mainly for the knowledge but this one is the first i ve noticed a great improvement in your video quality, better lighting and better audio and its a great idea to write the names of the chemicals on the screen !!! 5 Stars (sorry my bad english)
As someone who really likes salty aquatics and needed something with some citrus for summer (by choice, not because I feel like I HAVE to have a citrus because people say so), this was basically made for me hahaha. As always, amazing review. Always a fantastic experience watching one of your reviews.
My second ever fragrance years ago was light Blue (normal version, supposedly for ladies, but definately unisex). I was craving it, so i had to get myself a bottle. Still costs an arm and a leg at retail even though it's 20+ years old. I liked it more than the intense, although the sales person said it was the same fragrance, but only more intense and longer lasting. To my nose it wasn't. I still like it, but the intense version was way more woody and masculine to my nose. Light blue is almost like a sparkling lemonade (lemon instead of grapefruit, and apparantly less artificial smelling than the men's version). Still love it for 22°c + weather, allthough it smells a bit different from it's starting years.
I love this one on my husband. I likewise wear the women's version and it's absolutely gorgeous. Before I got that I had been wearing the original women's Light Blue since I was 16 in 2001 when it first came out. Anyway I would love to see your opinion on Hermes H24 Aaron. Thanks for the awesome review.
Love your videos Aaron! You’ve done fair bit of Parfumes De Marly reviews. Could you please do PDM Haltane? Would love your take on it. It has received great reviews. Thank you
hey this was super helpful! Can you maybe give some other recommendations similar to the fragrance you're reviewing as well in your future videos? I want an oceanic, fresh scent for the summer with good projection and longevity and since this one doesn't have that, I think some other suggestions would've been helpful. Anyways still great video! I'll be binge watching all your reviews now lmao
Im buying a bottle tomorrow for my cruise next week. Figured something aquatic while on the ocean so it's not at war with the salt water around. Can't wait to see what it's like.
Calone:...my "headache and nausea" ingredient. I learned that when I got back into frags around 2015. Learned it the hard way, but learned it good. So I will be avoiding that frag of yours Aaron, but am interested in the rest. Cheers!
You've hot really huge knowleage and i love how you talk about fragrances. Could you try Dolce Gabbana pour homme EDT. It is really nice hidding jam and fougere fragrance. None is taking about this scent.
Please tell me the 1/20 Evolution will be a simultaneous release with Maxaroma in the US? I wish we had easier access to your work here in the States. An ATH summer scent? Can't wait!
Hi Aaron , i really enjoyed your reviews. You have reviewed Montale Intense cafe, it would be very amazing for you to review Montale Arabian Tonka as well. They have been mentioned to be similar in scent but it would be very interesting to know difference between these two with your nose of a professional perfumer :) .
Do you feel like Y sometimes gets overpowering? I smelled it but it was a tad too sweet for me especiallyin the heat it might get nauseating, so I wanna try LBI
@@lichh64 depends how hot it is. In really hot/humid weather Y EDP does get noticeably sweeter, and I never would do more then 2-3 sprays. In the same heat LBI can get very…salty? That said, both are still huge compliment magnets of women of all ages. Personally now, I prefer PDM Percival or Nishane Hacivat.
Aaron!! Can’t get your Carbon anywhere 😞. Have you considered doing a 100ml in the Carbon? I’m afraid to use the last of mine currently, as I don’t know when it will be available again.
I think it's also a bit of the wrong season for it right now, unless people live up above in Australia or New Zealand. I think the lightness of it, although it does impact performance, is a selling point. You can be sure it won't get in the way of the next fragrance later in the day. As far as light scents go, I adore Acqua di Parma Colonia Pura. Wonder what you'd make of that.
Hello Aaron hope you're doing well question for you I have this fragrance do you get a little bit of pepper in this fragrance maybe that's the metallic
This fragrance was interesting to me, if you don't like the opening you should definitely still pay attention to the drydown. It's significantly different and has this sweet musky aroma - I basically wear this for the drydown alone even though I don't really enjoy the opening all that much.
I've got a big bottle 200ml few years back for under 55£ I think, really beautiful fresh frag, I went for a BBQ and I was few metres away and a lady asked me what you are wearing it's smells so good and she was near the BBQ so I guess the job was done already
I own this fragrance. I find it to be alright. I wont be getting another bottle when my current one runs out. I would rather replace it with D and G Italian Love or Forever.
LB Intense smells quite amazing when layered with The One EDP, on a Date in the summer. This is also just super versatile as long as you use it in the Spring and summer, but it works for Day and Night and any occasion. 👌
Funny.. that thought crossed my mind after I received the LB Intense a few days ago and tried it briefly. Haven't had time to dive into it though.. But how do you layer it? I was thinking maybe the usual 5 sprays of LB and the 1 or 2 sprays of The One just to and a little extra og that DNA 😊
@@Olm9 Yeah I was curious too, these are the two fragrances I have, light blue (not the intense unfortunately) and the one. I never thought about using them together. Have you tried it?
@@robertdipietro991 I have now a few times and I must say it works very well! You can't overdo the Light Blue but add just enough af The One to make it contributing a bit of sweet and sexy. But hold back a bit - and you'll be fine and alluring.. 🥰
Ath try light blue forever in the teal bottle is had a stronger more realistic grapefruit opening. Italian love has lemon and grapefruit and sits in line tween intense and forever
Great review Aaron 👏 👌 Do you think that spraying something like Molecule 02 Ambroxin prior to spraying with this scent, would help in it's performance? I actually love this scent by the way, and I recently got a 200ml bottle of it for less than £60. Any help greatly appreciated. Keep on Keepin on 🙏😀
Watching your reviews further strengthened the idea that no one can be blamed for preferring designer fragrances, the quality you get for your money is undisputed. The term "mass appealing" used when anyone reviews a fragrance has always bugged me. Aren't you (I don't mean Aaron, but anyone reviewing a fragrance) part of the masses as well ? Or when you're choosing a fragrance, your main criteria is how many people will not be able to enjoy your fragrance, as opposed to how much you're enjoying it yourself?
Mass appealing means that the average person will probably like it. And as a fragrance enthusiast, your own taste will probably be far different from what the masses like
@@DuSeun Why would you assume that a fragrance enthusiast will lose his appreciation for likeable scents? I do know a couple of people who would be called fragrance enthusiasts based on the hundreds of bottles they massed and on the hundreds of decants they keep ordering. Surprisingly or not, they still very much enjoy the fragrances they started their collection with, like Allure Homme Sport or such. Again, my point is why do people start describing a fragrance by naming it "mass appealing", as if it's more important to them how other people feel about it and only after that comes their own feelings about it. Think what you want, but I am yet to encounter another place with so many snobs as the fragrance community.
To me mass appealing just means it's quite simple and linear not that thats bad but i have plenty of simple good perfumes and im more interested in creative and rich scents
I never said that a fragrance enthusiast will lose his appreciation for a likeable scent. Mass appeal is not necessarily negative or positive, but it is a characteristic. If I'm looking for an office scent I want to make sure if it's mass appealing, but at an exclusive party I like something bold and memorable. And at home I don't have to worry about mass appeal so I can wear what I feel like. Mass appealing is more versatile, but the scents you personally love most may not always be mass appealing, so it's important to know on what occasions not to wear a challenging fragrance
Totally unrelated but who has gotten their nose on Lacoste Match Point EDT? Very pleasant cheapie with about 7 hours performance. I am pleasantly surprised by it to be honest.
