Dearest Aaron, thank You for responding to my question on your previous video. I did purchase your Animalix, and I will be purchasing others! In your opinion, I have been making/experimenting my own scents I have purchased, and like I said, Iris is my favorite. The iris that has the lipstick kind of vibe. Any suggestions on other oils/notes/fixatives or base notes? I know you are busy, I just value your work.
I just had a great experience at the mall yesterday, checking out fragrances! I went to Nordstrom and Louis Vuitton store, and I got to try some PDM fragrances at Nordstrom, and really clicked with the guy there at the men's fragrance department. It's been really cool to meet other people who are into this hobby like that. He let me sample Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, which was cool because I have been really into Argos Bacio Immortale lately, and I had heard it smells just like Tuscan Leather. It smelled exactly the same to me, the sweet raspberry and pink peppercorn and oud and leather really agree with my nose. I had gone there a few weeks ago, and the nice lady at Nordstrom even made me a sample of Creed Silver Mountain Water, to take home, and also tried a few Louis Vuitton fragrances, so this time, I just sampled a few, and really liked Pacific Chill, so I bought a 100 ml bottle, and I learned that they also refill them for $100 less than a new bottle! So I can get this refilled for just $220, and the 200 ml would be $350! The guy at Louis Vuitton was really cool too! He was really into fragrances, and we talked about different houses and scents. I asked if he could hook me up with a couple free samples, and he did. I requested Ombre Nomade, and I got it. I also got L'immensite. I just got a Tom Ford Noir Extreme EDP 100 ml for free the other day too. I ordered the parfum from Amazon, and they sent me the wrong thing, so I raised a fuss and they refunded me and let me keep the EDP. I'm really getting into this hobby! I've been really into the Maison Margiela Replica line; I got On a Date, When the Rain Stops, and From the Garden. I really want to get Under the Lemon Tree next.
Hey aaron nice review i had a question i cant find this maluna fragrance you were talking about at the beginning this Sounded very nice were can i find it or wich Name has this perfume?
It would be interesting to see a video on the safety of fragrance use. I recently saw an article someone linked showing a popular designer fragrance (D&G The One) apparently tested high for toxicity in a lab. If you google that fragrance and the word toxicity then the study comes up. Just wondering what your take is, your thoughts on the regulations, etc etc. As a fragrance lover I just wonder about the chemicals sometimes, particularly in the cheaper synthetic ones. Thanks!
The caravan halts in the dim moonlight on a winter’s night in the desert. A hundred clinking lamps settle on the beige earth, and wary travellers alight from their steeds and wagons, blessed with stillness after a long journey. And there comes my lover, lamp in hand, hair tousled and clothes dusty with the smile of a thousand suns. I embrace him and in his bosom, I inhale the scent of the desert’s soul. Is it truly the most divine fragrance, or is he the definition of divinity, I know not. But I melt nonetheless, into that Arabian night, into my lover such that we no longer exist apart. Such is my anemoia with Ombré Nomade. Perhaps the most stirring perfume I’ve experienced in recent times.
Around please please help who the he'll makes luna just fall onto your channel n loving it but god I need to try luna if it's as good as you say please help a perfume addict
Hello. I did the cost for 50ml as that is what mine is sold in. That way I can work out the costing. I did say that its sold in £275/100ml. Thanks for watching
@@AaronTerenceHughes missed the part where u mentioned the 100ml price, keep up these fantastic informative vids and refusing to follow the RU-vid trends (top 10, most complimented etc)
I've not smelled this one from Louis Vuitton but the similarly named Ambre Nomade from Elisire (nose: Pierre Negrin) is one of my all-time favorite ambers with an absolutely addictive and tantalizing opening that settles into a distinctly warm and comforting divinity that feels a bit like Amber Sultan and Amouage's Interlude Man had a wild night together. Love the videos, as always. Cheers and many blessings.
Did you put your nose on desired from Elisire it’s my signature scent and Franck the owner of Elisire is lovely I tried ambre nomade but it’s too much for me but i like extrait noir by pierre negrin too My favorite amber is by far grand soir But please try desired oud vanilla saffron amber and a lot more just put your nose on it
@@ChristopherSisk Desired is a compliment magnet the first time that a perfume has got me compliments in the middle of the street you will not be disappointed !
@@zenttofrizzy8479 Dude! Absolutely love Desired! Definite middle-eastern influence. It almost feels like an intense version of Lattafa's Raghba (which translates into Desire coincidentally) but with that slightly arid saffron added to the top. Gorgeous! Extrait Noir is kind of like a blast of licorice and leather. An interesting combination.
@@ChristopherSisk I knew you would like it I am literally addicted to this scent I wear it in summer and winter I get so many compliments even if I wear this perfume for myself This is an indicator of its high desirability and here in paris we are in the middle of summer there is an intense heat but I still wear desired and it is still as magnificent it’s so well blended it cannot become a complete mess even in high heat glad you liked it
I think a Tobacco note in this would be great. When i think of am 'Ombre Nomade' I picture a leather clad wandering bounty hunter in the old west, smoking a roll up as he pulls his gun out.
gotta say 2 tihngs 1) luna (ATH) is amazing - really is 2) i smelt this (ombre nomade) on a guy when i was in a meeting and knew straight away he was wearing something oriental - i had to ask him (i'm not afraid to do that or even to comment someone if they smell good) when he told me what it was I looked up the price.....then I stopped - £275 for 100 ml is a lot - i know some of aarons frags are equivalent but (a) theyre better and (b) they come in 50 ml which is not such a massive outlay it this were in a 50 ml at 140 i would buy it
Agreed. Luna is amazing. Quality is much higher than ON in my opinion. Smells better to me. With high concentration of authentic oud. It is a beautiful oriental.
I got a 10 ml of the new 2023 Luna formulation recently and interestingly enough it smells very similar to Ombre Nomade to me. Smelling them side by side I get the raspberry from Ombre Nomade that's missing from Luna but other than that it's hard to separate them. Would love to see Aaron do a comparison now!
Hey Aaron! I believe LV has changed their formula for Ombre Nomade. It used to last for days on clothing, but it doesn't even last a couple of hours. Could you confirm this? I just got it as a gift and could tell the difference right away.
Aaron, I watched your Oajan review and heard about your Chocolate Monster Fragrance. I really want to try something that has a Chocolate Gourmand delicious taste to it. Is it Oxytocin..?? I’m sorry because I really couldn’t catch what it was in your Oajan Video.
He might have been talking about Forbidden. The Oajan video was last year and it’s possible Forbidden was being developed around that time. It came out earlier this year I believe.
I think he was talking about forbidden. I have a bottle of that and it is amazing! One of his best creations. Chocolate orange, cherry bakewell, vanilla, thai oud. Very dark, mysterious gourmand. High quality raw materials used. And I think its way better than xerjoff Symphonium.
My nose must not be properly trained on this one, because all I smell is a ton of leather, and that's about it lol. I think the quality is very high, but for a leather fragrance, I'd rather use Tom Fords Ombre Leather.
This one I don't feel like wearing too often... that being said this gets cloned and duped to oblivion. We've reached a point where even the Dupes are really good. You can get this scent in another bottle for 50 $, lol.
This cat I’ll literally take him with me if we new each other and let him pick a fragrance for my personality that’s just the degree of talent in which he breaks down a fragrance…when he speaks fragrance heads should listen keenly 🤟🏾😁🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
It’s so impressive how ATH can take one inhale of any fragrance and subsequently describe every facet of that fragrance. It’s like having the ability to kiss a complete stranger and be able to breakdown their whole personality 😂
This was definitely on my list for a 2021 purchase but if your Luna giving this a run for its money I might have to skip that and try out your fragrance 😎👍🏽
I never use this channel to promote my work. But why don’t you try a 10ml Luna and. 1ml ombré nomad. Luna stays really stable. Ombré nomad breaks down to the base raw materials over 3-4 hours!
@@AaronTerenceHughes I know you don't but at this point I trust your nose and opinion very highly over most perfumers on RU-vid and that's saying a lot. Definitely keep up the good work on RU-vid and your line of fragrances 😎👍🏽
@@akashicfibers8205same for me. It's also a very dark druity oud combination, but Ombré Nomade got the Leather twist while Onyx has the chocolate twist.
I think there are very few fragrances that can even come close to Luna. I still have to get across someone who does not love it. Everyone loves it, male and female. The LV scent is not nice at all when dried down, kinda feels like falling apart in single components.
That’s very kind. I love Luna to. I agree with you. The LV is beautiful to start. but on the dry down smells of the building blocks. But it’s still beautiful
@@Ruetendom luna is one of his fragrances and in my humble opinion one of the best. Once tried you never want another thing. Topped with a spray of J’Adore Infinissime (Dior) and you are in heaven. The jasmin complements Luna and makes it fully rounded and elevated to heavenly heights.
@@Inisiarev oh wow thank you so much. I am definitely going ahead and buying it. Because I really like ombré nomade I was struggling to think what else I could add to hubby’s collection. I’ll get both Luna and the Dior one. Thank you so much for also taking your time to reply.
Wow I just tried this and I was thinking where have I smelled this before and then I realised it's very similar to luna to my untrained nose, I didn't have them side by side to check but I see it for sure.
It's good but it's overpriced for what it is and the hype train is real. I see a lot of similarities with Dominique Rapion's POAL but it's a class and a half below it For some reason the leather aromachemicals give me a headache. I think I'm allergic to isobutyl quinoline I've bought a 10ml botle of Luna to compare it with ON and I have to say I would spend my money on a 50ml botle of ATH's Luna than an 100ml of this. Well done Aaron!! looking forward to testing Onyx Extreme.
If it has a softer finish to it so the leather and cyprol lowered I believe it would be an all year round fragrance. I took the day off and wore Luna to a chiropractor appointment and the taxi man wouldn’t stop asking about it! He asked what it was and I said I am unsure.
That fake oud blend you mentioned also sounds like a rich oriental tobacco accord to me and it makes sense, because I find oud a better more opulent smelling substitute for the rather simplistic tobacco.
You can use it as a base for lots of things .once you smell it you can detect it in loads of heavy orientials! I intend to use it in a few releases as it’s very nice and versatile!
I have Ombré Nomade and love it but in all honesty I prefer ATH OUD and would say is closer to ombré nomade than Luna as Luna has a chocolate accord in my opinion. I’m just about to buy a backup of Oud and Hopefully the formulation in the new bottle hasn’t changed from the older version.
Yeah. When i first smelt this i was not blown away and i did not understand the hype of ombre nomad. I really the nuit de feu, Apogee, le sables roses and turbulences.
would love to see you review some Alkemia Perfumes fragrances, perhaps Amor Intellectualis, or their "Anti perfume"; Iso Super E Aroma Molecule. They have a very interesting approach to formulation, and I think they're daring enough to deserve a review from our beloved perfumer/reviewer. great vid as always Aaron!
Ensar is amazing but he does use real animal byproducts which Aaron is against using, Other than Ethical Ambergris of course. I adore Aaron and his fragrances but I also love Ensars use of musks. Iris Ghalia, Sultan Musk Attar and Tibetan Musk are otherworldly but use actual animal products. Civet, musk, castoreum, etc.
I have a small 2ml decant of this and I dread using it bc I love it so much. I just leave it as it is and smell the sprayer when I want to smell it lol
