I feel like your channel has increased my knowledge of fragrances more than any other. Not that there aren't other reviewers out there who are fantastic at what they do, but for example every time I've heard that a cologne or perfume has 'oud' in it, it's only been a tertiary mention as a note in those channels... nobody else has ever explained it. I certainly look forward to those additions that I get with your reviews! Thank you.
This is my favorite favorite fragrance ever!! Best blend and easy on the nose! I get so many compliments. This also layers so well with so many rose scents!
Aaron, you're the one! You don't review the fragrances, you strip them out and breaking into small pieces, that's incredible. I am also curious if you can review Montale Wood & Spice. Cheers!
Will be trying yours as one of my next purchases especially as you provide proof about the oud and quantity used . I definitely love the transparency there
Sounds interesting but can't bring myself to buy designer "Oud" fragrances these days and seeing as you're bringing out another Oud, I'll wait for that.
There's no designer perfumes that contain real oud, agarwood trees are almost extinct and oud is such an expensive material there's no way they're producing mass production perfume with real oud
This was such an interesting and informative video! I didn’t know that the ’barnyard-y’ oud was actually the cheaper one as I actually kind of prefer it. Also really stoked for that new oud fragrance of yours- still have to receive my 50ml Ozone which will arrive next week!
Thank you so much l! I would love to see your thoughts on Mystery Tobacco from the same line, 1 day if you can Sir 😅. I know everyone asks for you to review different perfume.
Oud Couture was one of the original fragrances in this collection. (With Mystery Tobacco, Burning Rose, Nightfall Patchouli, etc.) I love this collection.
@@wazzabanzook5028 thanks for the heads up , I’ll have to check those out . I prefer if possible the originals of most things but sometimes the cost is too much , also some originals lack longevity, not usually the case with Amouage , I sprayed silver oud yesterday and still smell it on me
Something off-topic but wanted to say: 2-3 years ago when I just started getting into fragrances, my taste was somewhat immature. I stumbled upon Aaron's channel and literally every fragrance that he found boring - I felt in love with them. 2-3 years later, my taste changed 180 degrees. Now Aaron is my go-to expert when exploring fragrances that I have never smelled. The score is 100% now, like, if Aaron loves a fragrance - I don't even need to buy a sample first. I still do, because they're expensive, but his preference totally matches mine. Plus we both have similar genetics and skin obviously.. For example, the polarizing perfumes: Alexandria 2, Oud for greatness, Side effect. Aaron was literally in a different state when testing them. I bought them all, now they are my favorites. Especially Alexandria 2. So Aaron, as long as you are being honest in your reviews (and you will be, I know), I have a safe place for my purchases. :) Have a great day!
I have skin that very strongly brings out the leather, musk, oud, and coumarin in fragrances. I put on Nautica Voyage and I can smell the musk in it really prominently on my skin.
I LLLOVE a good oud! Too many times it’s quite synthetic, Aaron! Even Oud For Greatness has that “synthetic-ness” about it and that upsets me! As it’s such a phenomenal fragrance! I have other “oud’s”… can you recommend me a similar oud fragrance (until your very best oud comes out!), that is similar to Oud For Greatness? Thanks again mate 🤩
I love you Aaron. Youre just a great person to be in contact with albeit virtually 😁. Love this review, and 89.8k yasss!!!😁🦄 Is the kind of oud in this formulation similar to the oud in Oud wood? Ive noticed that the western approach can have the cedar accords being forward and the oud just accenting it, rather than oud based.
I miss you putting real oud on your other hand to be able to detect and tell whether there is real oud in the perfume or not. I found it really interesting and maybe can determine if one should buy the perfume or not if they prefer real oud just for the sake of it.
Hello Aaron I have just seen some of your fragrances today and I’d love to purchase one of them but not sure what I’d like. I do love vanilla, rose and oud. For context Memo Argentina and baccarat rouge so from your range what would you recommend from your range that would match that criteria (I am a male). Thank you
Hi Aaron, love your insights. Just wondering is there a reason you havent reviewed Clive Christian? Surprised since they're British! I know they will get a lecture on price from you. But I love X Masculine, Blonde Amber, and Crab Apple Blossom. Would love to hear your thoughts
Hey Aaron, Could I send you a decant out of my bottle of Viktor & Rolf ‘Antidote’ for you to review? I cannot for the life of me decide on if this is how it really smells, or if it’s expired, or if it’s just flat out fake-I’d love to believe that it is just extremely well blended, but I am in a serious bundle of confusion
I would like to hear your take on Chene from Serge Lutens. The way you talk about perfumery i think that one would be an interesting one for you to try. It's a woody fragrance that smells very raw and natural and not your standard wood smell from mainstream woody fragrances. With a cinnamon/coffee- like vibe allthough this one doesn't contain it. Gives an old world vibe like old fashioned coffee place with old wooden furnitures, the smell of steam trains and coal in the air. Try it if you can, i think you'll like it.
Can you try Franck Olivier Amber please? It is really cheap but feels so classy and refined I would like to know what you think about it! Thanks for the great videos :)
Aaron, I love your Oud and Luna (and several other ATH); I am SO excited to hear more about your upcoming new Oud fragrance! Will it be a 2023 release?
Aaron, can we get an update about your EU based factory, and when can we expect it? I know its a complicated process, but just updated information about it would be amazing😊😊 I love your work and I can’t wait till I can order your perfumes without wondering how much customs I’ll have to pay😅😅
That "oud" last like 30 minutes on my skin. Then is all about saffron and rose.... in a very boring way. I think for that price you can get a lot of better options from middle eastern houses. Totally overpriced in my opinion.
