Whats not to love about Arron Terrence Huges ???? He gives a chemical break down of fragrances. He gives his personal opinion on whether or not he likes or dislikes a fragrance & why. He is definitely not shy about disliking a fragrance & fully expressing it. He also gives his opinion on the price of a fragrance vs what he smells & the chemicals used to make it. Most importantly...He's not influencing us to buy anything. I highly respect that type of reviewing
This is my favorite fragrance I love this! I’m glad you reviewed it not everyone likes the same things but I appreciate your breakdown of the composition. I am 30 I guess I enjoy older smells!

It's great to hear such informative reviews. Hopefully one day you will make a review about Guerlain Vetiver, it reminds me of my childhood and the grassy highlands where i used to spend my holidays.
Roja Dove basically trained unofficially under Jean-Paul Guerlain when he was PR for the house, which is where he got his "long" style. Tons of notes, tons of blending, grandiose and very 1920's-1930's style perfumery, lots of transitions etc. Very nice but sometimes a tad overwrought best describes the RD style. His leathers, ouds, and chypres are where it's at, but they're $1,200+ for 50ml of Parfum lol
Another great review Aaron. I really enjoy Roja Dove but his prices are so out there. I have several of his frangraces and I really enjoy them because they are unique and smell very luxurious. The way he market's and designs his fragrances you would hope to get more out of his products. I think you pay a lot for his name like you do for a very expensive car.
I agree. For £400/50ml I want raw materials that are unique and interesting. Raw materials that made for for the company. It is very long lasting though.
Another fine review! Thank you, Aaron. I was just thinking how some brands use higher concentrations of naturals when charging such a high price. In your experience, how often do most niche brands use inexpensive naturals to serve the expression of the fragrance and save money VS using whatever naturals (regardless of cost) deemed necessary to realize the perfumer's vision?
Okay Aaron so I bought this discounted, but it really doesn't have that much longevity, it should be in his 295 quids range w Burlington and Oceania, there's not much of a redeeming quality to it ... Enigma Aoud for 245 quids is a lot better, long lasting, projecting
When i smelled this for the first time i thought it was the blend of spices & aromatics & woods i had been looking for my whole life. Today i just bought a bottle. It feels like it just has so many components of so many flavors that somehow still go so well together... For me it just has it all. Question- i noticed it is not extremely long lasting. I first tested it the same day i tried his Fetish parfum, which lasted way longer and was way stronger. I'm noticed barely any aromatic spice based scents last as long. It seems to just be because of the nature of those chemicals. Is this true ?
I just got some samples and all of them are top notch: Antimony, Devotion, Orca, Forbidden, and The Longing are all blowing me away though. ‘meh’ on the projection but insane longevity.
sounds like Roja is kind of overhyped, it sounds fun to try out his stuff but as someone under 30 this house seems almost daunting.. I just recently purchased enclave by amouage, I really would love to hear what you think about it as I feel it gets love and then it gets some hate as well. Also, is it true that with mint you can get a 'cooling' sensation sometimes? or is that just in my head? thanks again for your reviews, I love them all :)
Im 40 and I love reckless, Its a real cameleon, only thing i dont like is The citrus in this, the bayleaf Cardemon and labdanum are stand outs for me, very classic and manly scent, high quality. Not reckless in enny way tho 😂 should be named man x............. Guess that name was taken huh roja... Wink Wink nudge nudge (you sto.. I mean borowd from Clive Christians)
Got scandal, reckless, risque, elixir, 51, enigma and danger as part of a Roja sample box and tbh they all seem very grandpa-ish, probably why they’re so expensive they know the oldies have the disposable income to burn 😅💰💰💰
