I can relate. 15 years ago I had 3 fragrances, kept smelling stuff at Macys and buying nothing. Then I discovered Diptyque (Eau Duelle). Then I found niche at the Perfume House in Portland OR. Now I have 50 full size bottles and numerous decants and samples. I topped my collection at 50 so I finish a bottle now before buying a new one. This year I finished Dolce Amalfi (Casamorati), Solaris (Agonist), Elderflower Cordial (Jo Malone), Iris Dragees (lancome), and Lira(I only had the small bottle). I have never repurchased a fragrance, for Lira I am considering the Love and Crime instead. I prefer clear bottles so I can see how much is left.
I started collecting in 2020 as well. I had my faves that was always in my rotation and all were designer. I probably had less than 10 bottles and all designer. But, once I got my hands on BR540, it was over. I’m sitting at 200 full bottles and about 30 travel size. Still buying
They did have a small amount of stock of Silk Santal shipped to the U.S. and Mona sent out a message on Instagram about it. I purchased a backup bottle first thing that morning. I think it was sold out by that same night. Hopefully, she'll release a 100ml soon.
I totally agree with you regarding the Choco musk perfume. I also got the oil first and loved it so tried the perfume and I was like "meh". I let it be for a while and then put it on again....everyone everywhere I went was asking me what I was wearing, or it smells like cookies, or you smell delicious! I don't wear my perfumes looking for compliments, they are like daily aromatherapy for me but it doesn't hurt when people enjoy how you smell 😊
I’m glad you made the comment about not judging the Middle Eastern fragrances off the first sniff and having to let them sit. I ordered Lattafa Oud mood and I was ready to put it on Mercari! But I will let it marinate
I also only got into perfume in 2020! I’m an under sprayer so I don’t have any empties yet but I’m close to finishing my 10ml travel sprays of YSL Libre and Aerin Amber Musk. I have really good dents going in my Armani Code 30ml and Mon Guerlain 50ml. I think I’m at around 50 full size bottles but I love a 10ml travel spray. I wish every niche brand sold everything in a 10ml option!
I wish they all had 10ml as well because it is super pricey to purchase this size from decant websites. Also gives you a chance to really wear and get to know the fragrance. Really hard to do that with the 2ml samples.
Hey Sharida, I only started in early 2022 with my fragrances. I have a collection of about 130 bottles. But I have not emptied a single one yet. Tbh, I haven't even used many, because I have JARS of decants and samples i want to go through, and they keep coming in. At this rate I wonder if I will ever touch upon an FB at all lol. You are lucky the Wedding Collection is even available to you. Here in the Netherlands there is still no sight of it.
I will be so sad when my Cassiopeia is gone😭. Vanilla 28 is one of my most used frags. The perfect layering one that every frag head needs in their collection! My SOTD is vanilla 28 with I want choo & I smell on point this Sunday! Amazing to see ur empties, it’s bittersweet to empty a perfume.

I was raised by a mom with 1 perfume aswell , for party's and special occasions 😅 I remember she would use the same bottle for a whole year or more (1 or 2 sprays a time). And I was such a girly girl, I wanted to play with her makrip and perfume. I think I'm overcompensating for my childhood now by having 20 perfumes 🤣

Silk Santal is Mona's best scent for sure. I'm almost done with my first bottle and I've already bought two (very overpriced) backups on Mercari. I couldn't risk it not being restocked.
I use to only wear perfume on special occasions and owned one perfume as well. I was a body spray girl until about 2 years ago. Now I have maybe 60 bottles in my collection! That’s not including my travels and I have around 20 of those. I love picking a new fragrance everyday!
I missed out the first round on a full bottle of Silk Santal. I signed up for the back in stock notification and ORDERED SO QUICK! I got my bottle in 2 days. Mona did say she was able to shift stock from the Europe warehouse to the US, obviously it wasn't enough for the demand :( I hope they get it back soon because I need a back up!
Hi Sharida!! The fact that you just gotten into perfumes is mind blowing!! Around 10 years or so, someone stole my whole collection!!! Sick! I just got back into perfumes 2 yrs ago. At that time I had two bottles of perfumes - CH Good Girl and this other freshie that I really liked but I forgot what it’s called. My empties from spring to summer - Wood Sage and Sea Salt, JHAG, Dolce Garden, Idole & Valentino DBIR. I also have a handful of Body creams from B&BW that I finally emptied. It’s SO fun to empty a bottle. Also, I already had a backup of Idole and I’ve repurchased Garden 😊
Girl we’ve had the same journey! I got into fragrances more 2 yrs ago. I had about 10 fragrances I rotated and some of those like you I only wore for special occasions. We know better now 🤣🙌🏽

Deff getting Black Opium Le Parfum once my bottle of the Extreme is no more. I deff prefer these over the original. The dry down is just so creamy and sweet.

My recent empties were Blanche Bete (repurchased and back in the rotation), Delina (repurchased and back in rotation) Wind Flowers (I didn't repurchase this because it didn't have the best lasting power on my skin and I'm a girl who layers so I went ahead and bought the large bottle of Chanel Mademoiselle Intense since the profiles are similar and the Chanel lasts longer on me) Le Labo Another 13 My Way Intense (I'm on my second refill bottle...so I guess that means I've been through 4 bottles of this)
I definitely agree with the chocomusk perfume! because in the beginning it smelled mostly of alcohol but it’s been sitting in my collection for over a year and babyyyyy now it’s a favorite and I love to layer it with vanilla 28, black opium, and anything else gourmand ❤

Lira’s staying power is definitely not worth the price point BUT Ex Idolo’s Love and Crime is my absolute FAVVVEE! It’s one of my top 5 favorite fragrances definitely signature scent worthy. I have a decant of Cassiopea and I can’t smell it on me AT ALL. I’m literally nose blind to Cassiopea.

Great video and suggestions! I love the way you describe each scent. One of my all time favorites is Geisha Hinoki Vanilla and I haven’t seen any of the RU-vid perfume folks mention it. It is such a beautiful vanilla with a smoky note that works for absolutely any occasion.

Well on this fine Sunday i don’t feel exposed !!!!! Here is my truth - I had 3 bottles that I had for 5 years 10 months ago - I only sprayed on special occasions - my 3 bottles were toilettes - I now have 150 bottles - coupons queen with saks and Neiman Marcus ( they know I’m coming cause I found a glitch ) - opening a sample store What a difference less than Year makes
I missed Silk Santal the first round. Then when it restocked I didn’t even get an email it was you or someone else who alerted me so I immediately bought it. Now I wish I had gotten 2 Or 3 bottles. Someone tag Mona and tell her we need another restock lol

I love the Silk Santal I tried to be reasonable and not get a back up but now I regret it. But Deja Vu layered with BBW Pretty as a peach or Just Peachy oil by Brown Sugar Babe creates a 85% dupe

i’ve gone through half my silk santal and i have my back up ready 😩 i still use it sparingly bc i love it so much. i do find burberry goddess is similar to my nose, not dupes by any means- just cousins. i wear it when i want the same vibes lol
OMG, I blind bought that Choco Musk after seeing Coco Pebz talk about it. Wore it twice and I thought "WHAT???", not in a good way. I thought it was the most synthetic thing I ever smelled. That was 2 months ago. Haven't had the urge to wear it again.
THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT! I've since learned with ME frags ( affordable cheapies, not luxury houses) you have to spray about 6 times to clear out built up chemicals in that empty straw. Then let them masserate a few days/weeks... and WOW all are free from that synthetic mess vibe and smell like beautiful fragrances.
Great video! Most of my empties were at the beginning of the year and they were scents I wear often to work like musk 12, pure white 01. I get stingy with the sprays when I'm getting low on my favorite until I have the back up bottle in house. I'm struggling to find a 100ml of musk12 in the states. So I'm hoping when I visit my family in the UK I can purchase it in Harrods. 💖💖💖

I bought it this summer to try in the house and thought to myself this $10 fragrance is smelling like it came from the Dollar Stoe (not Store - Stoe)! I almost threw it in the trash! I have a question..how is black opium polarizing when there is no performance or longevity. I returned it bc it was that bad. It also smells identical to other perfumes that perfume better. Am I missing something

Talking about Rose & Oud combos…have you gotten your nose on Rose Poetique by Manos Gerakinis…it’s amazing & has covered my Rose/Oud category…I was torn btw it & Memo Argentina & went w/ Gerakinis version. LOVEEEE LOVE TT Cassiopea too…ughhh working from home I don’t wear my fragrances nearly as much as I NEED to!😥😥
