Hey everyone! Here is my first video release for my upcoming album “A Lesson in Impermanence”. It’s a song with several movements whose composition flows linearly without many sections repeating, which is a bit of a different approach for me. The song just wanted to be written this way, so I listened to where it wanted to go. In this song I employ a technique I've been referring to as “Drone Tapping” where I attack the same notes on different strings quickly which gives the effect that the notes are droning. I love finding rhythms that work well with this technique and exploring where they can go compositionally. I hope you enjoy it.
