In today's video, I do my best to give our men the inside on scoop on what perimenopause feels like for us ladies, and I tell him what we may be going through. My hope is that it will foster more understanding on his part for her. Please DO share this video with the man in your life, or send it to a friend who needs her man to hear this.
I am also back on Instagram if you'd like to connect with me: louisecorrans.over40

Fantastic informative video. I just send this to my Dad and my 22 year old daughter, who I have lashed out at twice this month. The guilt eats me alive. I used to be a really caring and loving Mommy. Hard to be good at anything when you feel like crap...sick in the head. Suicidal. So scary. 51 now. No period for 8 months. It will be one year on Mothers day. I use to have such a zest for life. Im hopeful it will all balance out once Mothers day roles around and I celebrate one year period free. I lost my mind. I was a lunatic. Depressed. I slept for 2 depressing years. Thankfully some man has been saved because im single, lol. Oh my sweet daughter though. She will need some therapy. God, please forgive me. It wasnt me. Was it? Like you, I thought....oh menopause can't be that bad. Its BAD. God bless us all...men and women....Kings and Queens...we are in this together. Much love.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. It's very real and it sucks. I hope you get some relief at some point, in whatever way works for you. Menopause can be hell for some women.

My poor son...I have lashed out at him a few times in the past. Luckily for me, I could explain to my partner what I'm going through and now I am on HRT and feel so much better.

@@Corrans Cannabis is what I've been using and on my 50th birthday, I was given some magic mushrooms. I've taken them about 5 times now. I was very sure at one point, that I wasn't going to make it and then I had a turning point....I lost my period. I thought everything would be bliss, but I could still feel pms, only it was worse...a nightmare without the bleeding. Yes, I thought death would be a great relief. Not without my daughter though. Of course God knew, I wouldn't leave her here alone, even in my insanity. Poor thing though....I said things I can never take back. It's hard to know I can be a monster. So yucky and distasteful. I loathed myself many days. I thought my wonderful daughter would be better off without me. I was WRONG. I was going to do it in August and I see how alone she oukd have been and how much she's already gone through. I love her...when I'm capable of love. I looked at her liked I hated her when I was at my worst. Omg, I was a handful some days. Wow, it's hard to forgive myself and I've been into self love since I was 37. I related to everything in your video. I want to hug you sister.

My kid's mother is going through this. She's only 35. She's insufferable. We went from sleeping together to me, sleeping on the couch, to eventually moving out altogether. I've tried very hard not to take it personally, but I can't when everything seems like a personal attack on my character. Small disagreements turn into hugely drawn-out arguments that last days and even weeks. I feel like all she wants me to do is shut up and deal with it because she "has to." Anytime I react to her disrespect, it becomes about my reaction more so than what led to that reaction in the first place. I'm constantly being called a narcissist, mostly because I don't allow her to intimidate. I'm at my wit's end, I don't know what else I can do besides leaving and staying away.

I am going through the same problems. I am accused of things that never happened. When I told her that I hope that she will hopefully in the future restore my human decency that she trampled upon, she just heaps on more false accusations. In not as many words she just short of accused me of rape and physical and mental abuse, by saying that she can never sleep in our bedroom again because of all the horrible things that happened in that room. I am in deep pain. She is now 56, I always do things to make her comfortable. Lately I have decided not to talk to her anymore, about our problems.'. My list is endless. I am forever hopeful that we solve our problems. She however never complains about menopausal symptoms,bexcept for a tennis elbow which turned out to be a frozen shoulder. When I told her a frozen shoulder is menopause related, she stopped suffering from it, but, complained to my sister about the frozen shoulder.

22 years married, I love my wife more today than ever. Any tips on how to be more compassionate to her during the perimenopausal times without coming off like a simp? I want to be there, want to understand but I feel like I can't make the right move

I'm sorry to hear you are battling with how to best support her. That's so difficult for me to answer because I don't her or you, so I have no idea how she would respond and what the situation is and how bad her symptoms are. But maybe an idea is to ask her what she needs from you? Ask her exactly what you asked me? Just a thought. Best wishes to you.

My wife of 30 years (she's 51). Is in menopause. She's been in it for 5 years now. She does not act crazy. She has an amazing memory. She's thoughtful and kind. Her only symptoms are loss of intimacy and hot flashes. What is all this talk about becoming a crazy person? Are we/ or she, yet to experience this?
@Corrans

Not everyone goes through all the same things. It can make some women feel like they are going crazy whilst they go through it, others not at all. 😊

Try intermitent fasting ....but only in the first part of the cycle ..... I have learned a lot from Dr.Mindy Pertz ....search for her on RU-vid .... She is talking about this intermitent fasting but adapted to us women......and also for perimenopausal and menopausal women..... ❤

My girlfriend turned 52 this past August but when she turn 51 She told me that her periods were lighter and she skipped sometimes since then up until now I have noticed mood swings anxiety like crazy and I've had her tell me to get a room when I was coming to see her and I never got a room before I always came to her house never has been an issue She told me that she felt fear and pending doom. Anyways she's got all the symptoms listed everything from hot flashes anxiety dry mouth She has it all going on well when she turn 52 she came to see me and we were to not buying the house I said you know we're doing this right? She said yeah I know well she came to see me she was there for 2 weeks and then the third week I don't know what happened It's like a switch flipped but it wasn't a switch I noticed the mood changes I noticed vaginal dryness that I never really saw before and the anxiety I could see it in her She told me she wasn't quite ready I'm assuming she's talking about because of going through menopause does that sound about right we don't live together we're not married we live separately but she's been doing everything on her own no help from nobody it's always just been her with her two girls and so me trying to step in and let her know that I'm there to help her and I've got her back I feel like it's sort of taken away her independence and her mind. Not really but you know what I'm saying I think the perimenopause mood swings and anxiety and everything has escalated everything else but my ultimate question is before now she was doing sort of the same thing She would go for about 2 months without talking to me and then she'd reach back out to me and it was like clockwork I didn't know what was going on didn't know this time either until I had to actually sit down and do my research and put everything together but again my question is would you reach out to her or would just let her come back around? I did try to call twice I wasn't blocked just no answer so I left it at that

@@Brokentofixed It's really difficult as I don't personally know your or her. What you describe sounds like peri/menopause. She either has to go through this and get out on the other side, which could take a while, or she could try HRT which can help. But unfortunately you cannot force her to do that, that's her decision. All you can do is ask her what she needs and be willing to listen. Wishing you the best.

So if you tried everything explain to your partner to go to the doctor and she refuses to whats is the man to do or should do that's my question cuz I'm on my wits ends right now and I'm complating a separation or a divorce because I'm already putting up with this for 4 years and I'm tired of it. she only works 2 days and I work 7 days a week I'm 55 years old already have suffered too heart attacks and I'm at my wits ends. She is a nurse so I don't know what the problem is.
