+Alex The top note in the chorus is a C5 which really isn't that high, especially for a female. She deliberately makes her voice sound strained for those notes. Spencer does the same thing, it's a common thing in rock and metal. During certain parts you can hear her singing those same "strained" notes in a clear tone that doesn't sound strained. If you don't like the sound of it that's one thing, but she's not "struggling to hit those notes," it's a stylistic choice.
